1.
Hello Worthy Nigelton... Been on walkabout Wrestlin crocs and eatin goana''s! I went on chrimbo holidays and didnt come back for ages... payin for it now(well lack of pay really)... Back to the gr...
Yeah things are good pal. Its weird - I was going to start a thread called "Who kidnapped Normann Canary?" the other day, and now you''ve turned up again!!

Good to have you back....

2.
Truly devastated to hear the news................... that you will continue to post a load of tosh on these boards.
Harsh.....

I like Wiz. Okay, this thread was a bit stupid, but he was pissed off and went too far. Has anyone else never done that?

Give it break ladies and gentlemen....

3. Mine is:

Greeno

Eddie
Doc
Charlton
Drury

Bentley
Damo
Helveg
Hucks

Ashton
Leon/Sven (probably Leon but I wouldn''t mind Sven either)

I like Helveg in midfield and despite a lot of posters slating him I think Eddie has had a good season, so he keeps his place in my team.

4.
I know Worthington was joking after the West Brom game, but what do you think about giving Francis a go up front? He obviously has an excellent strike on him, often gets into goal poaching positions ...
I think that possibly in "Lets play people out of position" world or "Why don''t we try something stupid" world this could be a great idea. However in "the real" world this is not so good.

It makes me laugh, he scores a feew goals so he must be a striker really. NO! He is a goal-scoring midfielder and a good one at that. Why lose one of the few players who has made the step up this season by playing him completely out of position?

5.
Perhaps the game against the baggies will start a new trend - play as poor a quality of football that we can muster and based on saturday it can be pretty poor! The reward for the worst performing pl...
Greeno: 6
Eddie: 7
Charlton: 4
Doc: 6
Flem: 5
Stuart: 5
Damo: 6
Holt: 5
Hucks: 7
Leon: 4
Ashton: 4

Greeno was at fault for the first goal but made a few decent saves.

Eddie, I thought done pretty well.

Charlton should have never started, quite blatantly unfit - was absolutely terrible.

Doc was not as bad as a lot of people on this forum are making out, although I agree he wasn''t great.

Flem only gets 5 because of his goal, he was shocking - how the fudge did he get MOM???!! One of his worst games in a Canary shirt IMHO. Looks more out of his depth with every game.

Stuart looked overweight and off the pace

Holt looked totally out of his depth (again) and we were only playing West Brom.

Damo disappeared for half the game.

Leon was very poor, but I think people are over-looking how poor Ashton was as well.

Overall this just a terrible performance with Hucks (again) being our best player by a mile.

6.
for what it''s worth Banannaman I know exactly what you are saying and agree totally with you. There are alot of new posters on here that see an opinion of one aspect of a players game as you thikning ...
StevenageFan: I hate newbie-bashing, just because someone doesn''t have 400+ posts to thier name doesn''t mean they are incapable of making a valid point.

On this particular subject I can see both sides of the argument. Yes, maybe Hucks should look up more, but to defend our new poster I agree that there is little there to pass to. Huckerby''s main strength is when he runs at people and telling him to stop doing what he does best is not good, trying to curb it a little is probably a good thing. So its somewhere in the middle of the two arguments IMO....

7.
Out of all four teams I would say Southampton have made the boldest attempt to stay up with the players they have bought in. Think us and WBA have done much the same but slightly harshly maybe I woul...
Completely agree, Southampton''s signings have been good and ''Arry was a great appointment. I fancy them to claw their way out of it and be sitting in 17th come May.

8.
Ashton is big and strong. Earnshaw is small and weak. Both can score goals. Make your own mind up.
Just because a player is big and strong that doesn''t necessarily make him good, the same as just because a player is small this doesn''t make him bad. Don''t be so short-sighted.

I think Ashton is a better buy than Earnshaw because of he looks to have bundles of ability and his age, nothing to do with the fact that he''s bigger than Earnshaw.

If someone offered me Michael Owen or Dean Ashton I''d take Michael Owen despite him being a lot smaller as I''m sure you would too Phah.

This was a good thread and would provoke some interesting debate (although I expected Norwich fans to be biased about Ashton) as I am. Both players have strengths and weaknesses to their game but to spurt out utter nonsense like that is annoying. :|

9. I think you''re right in what you say, gone are the days when a team like Derby could win Div 1 gain promotion then go on to win the top league at their first attempt. Football is ruled by money and Norwich will never be able to compete with the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd or Chelsea ever again.I also agree that we will witness the creation of A Euro Super League in the not too distant future. The one point I will say though, is that we know we are not competing with the top sides and it is still enjoyable competing with your average/lesser Premiership sides.

10. Okay so it worked for Wimbledon. The question is: Do we have similar players to what Wimbledon had? The answer is no. Wimbledon had a lot of big, strong and quite dirty players and the only way they knew was to play long ball. Is this going to to suit us? I don''t think so.

Also, for every Wimbledon there is a Charlton who play a really attractive passing game. My personal opinion is that there are very few successful long ball sides but numerous successfull passing sides, and long term, the passing game is what will bring us our aim of establishing ourselves in the Premiership.

I think that sometimes we are to direct at the moment and we should play it out more.

11. I''m not pleased. A 34 yr old has been. I could be wrong, but its not like we''ve signed a 34 yr old who was an absolutely top player. He was nothing more than run-of-the-mill/fairly good in his prime.

Yes, he''s got experience, his goalscoring record isn''t bad and its good that its only a short term contract. But on the flip side: He is over-weight, he is old, he is slow, he is only a Charlton reserve and we needed a defender a lot more.

Also, what about Safri, Holt, Mulryne and Helveg? Are none of these good enough to partner Damo in the Premiership?

12.
You''re talking rubbish, Sheded. Svensson has had two chances this season, and scored three goals. How does that shape up compared to Leon and Huckerby?
I know you''re a big Svenny fan Bananaman, but to compare him to Hucks in any way is outrageous... there is an absolute gulf in class between the two.
