There`s a lot of stuff going on here about players leaving in the new year during the transfer window. It`s not just about Wes, there are lots of potential  candidates for a move if we are doing well. I cant see why any of our guys would want to move if  we are still winning, they will be playing all their home games in front of a large vocal crowd who will  lift and support their every move, where are these guys going to go? Possibly a Championship Club who more than likely will have a smaller home gate than us, at Norwich they will be big fish in a small pond, local press coverage will be flattering to them and they will be hoping for promotion at the end of  the season. Why would they leave?

Leeds (Beckford), Charlton (Shelvey) and other top league one teams will also have to deal with interest from higher teams.

    It''s natural order.

  2.
rather see korey in midfield so semi to replace the injured spillane.
and it will be rudd back in goal i think.
i''d rather not see Semmy again at all. It''s not a coincidence the defence looks stronger without him.

I reckon put Korey at right back and Hughes in centre mid.

I prefer Rudd to Forster but you can''t drop a keeper after 2 clean sheets.

Russell had the best game I''ve seen from him for a while so here''s an interesting conundrum - If Hughes is fit next week do we bring him back? If so in place of who? Or do we try and accomodate all three?

I would bring Hughes back in beside Korey and bench Russell even though he played well yesterday. But it is nice to have options in the midfield, we haven''t had that for a long time.
It''s a tricky one NN! Hughes cannot be left out, I quite agree. Can Korey play wide right? Probably not ideal, but possibly no worse than Daley (at this stage) & it means you''ve got your best players starting the game; if one of them is below par you have the option to introduce Daley or Adeyemi instead.

    Good dilemma to have!
I see where you''re coming from with this but I think moving young Korey out to the right in order to field our best 11 available players would be wrong. The best 11 players at the club are rarely the best team unless you are lucky enough to have one for each position. So I''d keep Daley on the right and make the choice between Smith/Russell (because they did so well last game) and Smith/Hughes because they did so well previously).
smith played right mid vs charlton in may and was one of the only players who gave a decent performance. i think daley is the weak link.

    my mid would be

    lappin russell hughes smith

  4.
Was a good performance - and was very nearly 3 out of 3!

Just one thing - am I right in what I thought I heard you''d win, a year of insurance, had you got all 3, though? What sort of prize is that - I''d miles prefer the signed shirt that (I think) you won?!
it was signed ball for 2 hits and a year''s insurance for 3.

the latter is worth more financially but not really a souveneir .

however, i really enjoyed my andy warhol moment, and i left carrow rd a happy old fart for a change!

  5.

did it today and got 2 out of 3.

just glad i didn''t make a tit of myself missing the goal or slipping over!

with the result it was a good day all round.
ha, well done, i was the one in the striped jumper! mine were crap.
i had a little practice on friday night and got 1 in 10.

p!ss..can''t imagine the ribbing i would have got if i''d miskicked or scuffed..

maybe Beetley Reserves miss me after all (retired 1997)...

And if you had watched the video of the match you might realise that, whilst agreeing Theo did not have a good game, he had a complete joke of a defence in front of him.

Nobody becomes a bad player overnight and Theo is no exception. Yes he had a poor game but he is not the only sportsman to have a bad game and still prove himself.

The Ashes are the big news at the moment, just remember Graham Gooch''s first two innings for England ..... 0 and 0. Did that make him a bad batsman?

I do not think he is anywhere near as good as previous Norwich goalkeepers, on that one showing, but we have always been, until recently, blessed with some top performers. Perhaps we should step back and try to anylyse how many goals he was actually to blame for.
Yes he was only totally or partially to blame for 6 of them.

  7.
personally, i think Hoolahan is overrated which unfortunately says more about the rest of the team than Wes.

Hoolahan isnt happy unless he''s beaten the same man three times in order to get the ball on his left foot and then falls over or concedes posession. I thought he was poor on Tuesday vs Brentford.

I wouldn''t mind selling him but every time we sell a player or get rid of a player we downgrade.

I thought Fotheringham was sh!te and wasn''t that enamoured by Croft but they were better than Gill and Whaley.
but can you imagine a right-back worse than Otsemebor?

  8. personally, i think Hoolahan is overrated which unfortunately says more about the rest of the team than Wes.

It depends entirely on what Lambert thinks of the squad. Hopefully he may be able to convince dejan or darrell to stay. Its a very big ask, but they are just wasting their time here. So they may just want to play.

    Alnwick

    Otsemobor   Spillane   Askou(c)   Lappin

    Mcveigh   OTJ   Hughes    Wes

    Holt  Maric

Subs : Theo, doc, whaley, gill, adeyemi, cody, martin,
i woulnd''t have Otsemebor in first 111

  10. It''s a shame they didn''t get as far as Theoclitoris and thrown their season tickets at him.

You never know...a miracle may have happened ...he might have caught one!

However, as they only got as far as the half-way line i thought perhaps they were aping Otsemebor - although they didn''t do the back-flick and throw them backwards!

Holt is the only player to come out of this total shambles with anything like his reputation in tact.

The goalkeeper whose name i will not try to remember because he should never wear the shirt again would not look out of place in a sunday morning pub team.

Nelson who had a turning circle of a steamliner and about as quick was beyond bad ,slow and basically shit in every area..

We are a national laughing stock.
you are joking!

i think some people are just trying to convince themselves that we didn''t waste another 400k.

personally, i though Martin was the better of the two starting forwards.

he didn''t look in good condition. maybe if he lost a couple of stone he might be able to move
