1. Well maybe i''m not the person to talk to, people tell me training is all wrong anyway! I only do 3 runs a week tops, but do spin and circuits in the gym. I think my running speed is generally quite fast, so my long slow runs are not as slow as they should be and maybe I need more recovery time, but it seems to work. So I rarely train at under marathon pace, but this may be too much and lead to injury, but I have been Ok for the last few years since I took up running. I was always a bit sceptical about the slow recovery runs, so I didn''t do them, I figured rest was better for me. Anyway, my curry has turned up, must dash. Good luck with the running. Oh, one last thing, I do regular hills, I have really felt the difference following these.

  2. Yes that tunnel was not good for me either, loads of people choose to walk that section since the crowd weren''t able to cheer you on at that point. I did 3h 18mins but should have been on for a sub 3h15mins, not that is makes much difference I guess. I might stick to half marathons from now on, they are easier to train for! I was amazed at the amount of people really suffering at the end, it made me feel better! like was all share each others pain.

  3. My legs were solid, it took 2 or 3 days to ease off. I haven''t run this week due to getting a cold, glad it didnt happen before. I got a ballot place but choose to run for Diabetes UK and  raised over £1500, so I did feel a bit of extra pressure.

I enjoyed up to 20 miles and then felt like I was running with an ape on my back for the last few miles. I was pleased with my time but a little dissapointed to have suffered so much at the end.

  4. well done to him, I have been impressed with his effort and delighted to see him secure out promotion. People give the centre backs a hard time on this board but Doc and Nelson have done the business, and those who beg to differ just look at the table tonight. OTBC.

  5.
You''re right., What a Joke!

An away fan takes his 6 year old son to an away game with a home tickets then moans like a girl when they won''t let him in the away end.

What about all the Norwich fans that couldn''t get tickets to this game. Think you''re better than them do ya? Think you deserve to get in the home end do ya?

Then you start crying about bad language at a soccer game. Christ I wonder why people go sometimes. What a douche!

You put your off spring in that situation then you deal with it. Its not the job of safety stewards to break safety rules in order to move you because you bought the wrong ticket. Some people think the world owes them one.

    AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!
football or not most civilised people manage not to contiually shout c__t over and over again in front of 6 years olds. I would have told him to shut up. A bit of swearing in context at footy is fine, but this sounds a bit OTT, maybe it made the guy feel "big"? maybe he should have better standards.

  6.
spencer 1970 says it how it is. Glad to see we have enraged all you happy clappy club cabbage dweller thirty somethings, sitting at home on the pinkun wearing your shiny new shirts.
just becuase you look crap in a footy shirt doesn''t mean eveybody else does.

  7. i''m 38 and will wear what I like! i''m as light as i''ve ever been due to marathon training and can probably get away with it - no beer gut with me at the moment, thats for sure. But people should wear what they like, it gives us something to talk about, like "she shouldn''t wear that, not with a chest that size"! etc.
