  1. Well that''s odd.I thought the title of this thread said "takeover/investment"?A complete and immediate takeoever would be very costly even if Delia were to give her shares away. A drop in her holding below a certain point would initiate various loan repayments. A gradual increase in ''investment'' from another source via this consortium would not - at least not in the short term when we need every penny to build a squad. Being realistic in the current climate I''d rather see that than a pittance left after the Turners and the banks have had their cuts.

  2. Yes JF, although it''s obviously not just a rumour anymore. If any of you who are throwing the insults on the thread about D&M on Radio Norfolk had actually listened to the interview you would have heard them say that Foulger has commited lots of money to the Club in the past and is currently talking to others with a view to continuing this. There you go - that''s the Foulger Consortium confirmed and he obviously did back Gunn.

  3. I have no idea if Arsenal have an SCG.It was suggested through friends on the offy site (who are/were (depending on things tomorrow) totally anti-Board) that I apply. So I did. That''s it.My business dealings have all listened to my input with far more intent and have thrived, thanks. And I couldn''t give two hoots who is on it and who is not, as long as the day to day match day experience works out - ta!

  4. It has shown nothing of the sort Smudger. Oh how I wish I could sink to the level that you (and others) seem to find appropriate - that is to describe fans who they don''t agree with as a** lickers and such. Does that make it all sound better for you? Oooh you''re just a Cullum/Tweedy/Di Stefano a** licker - Gosh I feel better for that! Sorry but it''s as pathetic as the sheep/happy clappy claptrap that gets thrown around whenever there''s a non-story to argue or indeed a non-argument to be had. Get a grasp of some of the business and politics involved, you''ll find it helps.Overall though it''s all a bit silly if you ask me. It''s like you''ve run out of things to actually say to counter a point. And Bloodwagon is spot on - how would you (or anyone, this isn''t the "All About Smudger Show") behave if you had the money, or the obligations, or perhaps as was mentioned previously if your company was one that could be affected by administration for example? Other than castigating the Club for using the wrong suppliers that is! What''s up? Gutted that they don''t use you?

  5. Why?Why does it exactly CT? Explain to me please how maximising income by playing a football match against a ''big name'' club is either wrong or different to hosting a caravan show or dog agility thingy would you? As I saw it lots of people were well up for all that last week.It doesn''t matter who goes - just that people do. And they will. So what exactly is the problem? And before you join the Righteous Brothers of Norwich City Brigade and have a pop at anyone who sees a slightly different side of things I suggest you try looking around the obvious. It may open your eyes a little.

  6. Hang on a minute...Seeing as pre-season friendlies are (as I have been told on many occassions) worthless in terms of evaluating anything and are only a run-out for "the lads", what is the difference between arranging one against a Man Utd XI which will undoubtably draw in a crowd and say...err...using the pitch for something else that brings the dosh in - a dog show perhaps? Or caravans if that''s your bag?Come on, a bit of consistency wouldn''t go amiss. Either the Club use Carrow Road to bring in extra revenue or they don''t - which do you want? And isn''t it just slightly more palatable (especially to all the "non-core product" masseeve) that it''s football related?

  7. CanaryCharge, are you saying that season tickets are too cheap? I certainly think that, in fact when I was chatting about it with my Uncle the other day he point blank refused to believe how little we pay. In any league other than the Promised Land season ticket income is always going to be potentially the biggest money maker for any club. I can see the theory behind having a packed Carrow Road blasting down the oppositions fans but in reality I think our ticketing and concessions strategies have sold us short.

  8. Actually Desert Fox, that''s how I understood it worked in there too.How do I know? On the one occassion when I spoke to Delia (very briefly) at a function we talked about something I considered reasonably important at the time. She said it had come up at a Board meeting but she got voted down as it was ''one person one vote''.

  9. This thread manages to put Wiki to shame in the "I can post anything and some people will believe it" stakes.

xcityman, you say you have absolutely no proof that Delia ever tried to

get on the ITFC board - yet some will read this, log it in a brain cell

and regurgitate it as gospel if the subject ever comes up again when there really is absolutely no proof that this ever happened.

Doncaster''s bonus? Where? I get the annual accounts and I''ve never noticed a bonus for him. Do you get a different set to me? I know some managers get a cut of transfer fees and such but not around these parts.

Seriously, offer proof - facts that stand up and maybe you''ll have a point.

Good grief, I don''t enjoy looking like the constant defender of the faith but sometimes it''s just too easy...
