1. Rumour has it that Delia and Michael''s cleaner found some change down the back of one of the sofas in the second conservatory and Worthy''s been given it all to spend as he sees fit.

Apparently he is looking at 2 out of contract goalkeepers from lower division clubs who he wiil never play, 2 rightbacks, 1 lame and the other from Scandanavia who is unable to pass, 2 47 year old utility players from Premiership sides, 3 battling midfielders 1 who can run faster and 2 who can clap faster than Andy Hughes, none can pass but all can kick it further and higher than Paul Robinson, at least one will go immediately on loan and it is planned that another will fall out with Worthy during close season training and rot in the reserves until he leaves on a free in 2008.

He is also looking at three seven foot tall 35 year old centre forwards from lower league clubs with less mobility than Iwan Roberts, however both MK Dons and Torquay are interested so the prices may be prohibitive.

He sees no need for a right midfielder as Hughesy can play anywhere and any of the 9 rightbacks can also fill the role.

Finally, Flem is close to signing a 4 year extension to his contract, Gary Holt is being tempted back with the promise of clapping lessons and up to 3 Premiership club people nobody has ever heard of may arrive to be thrust straight into the reserves for 3 months and then sent back.

    Can''t wait.

  2. You have a job, but are getting intolerable stick from the majority of your customers.

Since people have turned against you, you feel absolutely nothing for your employers; in fact almost contempt.

Instead of leaving, you decide to wait until you are sacked, therefore recieving a big payoff.

You make negative comments against your customers, but you aren''t sacked.

You make terrible, glaringly obvious decisions, yet are let off.

You do everything you can but cannot be sacked!

Is this the case? Is this what is happening? I for one could believe it. I''m not saying that Worthy has always hated Norwich, but when things started to go wrong, and particularly now, is he just waiting for the boot so he can recieve his payoff?

  3. I''m with Huck and 1st Wiz, the majority of us are bored to death with the football, the state of depression and ennui of the whole club accompanied by a manager and board with their fingers in their ears going la,la. Things need to change, get out of the tree with Worthy and Delia you pathetic sycophants and smell the coffee rather than what you smell when only your shoes are visible out of the back of Delia and Nigel.

  4.
at least its a line up strengthened by razz the clown...and will 45 minutes be long enough for the queue of youngsters for peter thorne''s autograph?
So true. No disrespect to Drury, but I''d rather saw off my own leg with a rusty blade than queue to see these lot. Especially as I''ll be able to see them next season every day down the dole office. Hopefully

  5. Players have been brought up in a win at all costs scenario. They see cheating as an easy way to acieve what they have been set. Let''s be honest, who would dive if a rule was made where if any manager accused a player of cheating, a panel would review it and if found guilty a 5/10 match ban. That should sort it.

  6.
so forgive my ignorance... just how the hell does that mean we get rid of him??? techinally he could be here forever then?????  surely ofdfering a 2 or 3 year concrete deal is better as u know where it stands when it goes wrong?

    jas :)
I don''t know but I believe it means that at any point we can terminate his contract but have to pay him a full years salary. So the payoff would actually be relatively small. How much can he actually be on do you think?

Please leave Worthy I''ve really had enough!

Sadly many people on here are just unaware of what happens in top-flight sport.

I coach a premier league hockey team and therefore work with athletes at an elite level, many of whom play for their respective countries. I see players on a regular basis and based on their performances at training, their fitness levels and their current mental state, depends on whether they are selected for the games. I also base my tactics on what I think the opposition are going to do. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes not, thats sport.

People who post on here, Hudson, for example, no clue whatsoever as to the requirments of top flight sport. He simply has no idea of what Worthy sees on a daily basis. I doubt Hudson scouts opponents in detail to work out what formation Worthy should adopt, I doubt Hudson watches the players in training and assesses their fitness levels, work rate and skill level. He is basing his argument on what he sees on  the pitch...which is a remoulded team that is taking time to gel.

I am sure Hudson was cheering the team on from, perhaps his armchair, when they got promoted to the prem, and were beating Man Utd and Newcastle to try and stay up. I doubt, and am willing to put money on it, that he was sitting there chanting Worthy out, and criticsing his tactics then. Fickle perhaps? I''ll let you decide.

    Sadly, one word...ignorant
Leave off him will you all. He''s obviously a better fan than us, I mean, he GOES to games unlike all of us, and the fact he watches some bints running around with sticks gives him the tactical awareness to see that Worthy is getting it all right this season.

  8.
I take it some of you don''t agree then.

Well I notice there are several more threads on here saying more or less the same as me, I just can''t see how changing managers all the time is going to result in a settled team. I personally think we should get behind Worthy and give him all our support. Imagine how difficult it must be for him at the moment with you all on his back.
Newcastle change managers all the time. I can''t be bothered to research but I''m sure Worthy is now one of the longest serving managers in the football league. 5 years is a long time, time for a change???

    Obviously!

THANKS FOR THE GOOD TIMES WORTHY BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!

  9. You beat me to it. I also found this though, though if it''s as accurate as other rumours then forget it:

I wouldn''t normally divulge this information, but due to the nature of some of the posts on the Norwich Pink ''Un site, I feel I must. I''m a good friend of Chippy Crook and he has recently told me that Norwich have approached him to become part of a new management set up next season. The key to the deal is whether they can pursuade Mark Bowen to also sign up. Bowen is good friends with Hughes at Blackburn, but he doesn''t want to be an assistant forever. It all depends whether Chippy and the Norwich board can convince Bowen that the time is now. Also, to prove my credentials, keep an eye out for Chippy at the next home match. He''s due to watch a few games as a "guest", but will, no doubt, be researching the size of the task ahead.

    Your talking rubbish again

When have I talked rubbish before? I can''t remember that! Sorry about my rant i was fed up last night and sorry to Rossi 46, i was only using liverpool as an example! Sorry to everyone if i''ve annoyed people!
Sorry Tom you haven''t read my post, was supposed to be sarcasm. Mind you, when we make the playoffs maybe we could take Messi on loan

  11.
Sorry but i''m so fed up of certian football rumours websites! They annoy me because theres so much crap on them. For example since Ronaldo said he was unhappy at madrid, everyone is saying ''I have a contact in liverpool and ronaldo will be a Kop player 1000% true". If you read http://www.football-rumours.com/dodgy.htm you''ll see what i mean. Everyone has a link to the club, i didn''t know football clubs employed so many people. Another thing that bugs me is the player they say are coming. People must think the clubs have an unlimited bank balance. "This summer Liverpool are going to buy Kuyt, Joaquin, Simao, Owen, Ronaldo and Aimar 100% True", Whats that £75 Millions pounds worth of players! I didn''t know Abramovich owned liverpool too! Another example is this. These are the players Arsenal are buying in the summer:

    GK-
    frey,hildebrand,coupet

    CDF-
    king,mexes,lucio,trabelsi,maduro

    MF-
    y.toure,gattuso,reo-coker,baraja,a.diarra,m.diarra

    wingers-
    malouda,vicente,simao,r.babel

    ST-
    van der vaart,torres,nuno gomes,
    d.bent,carew,govou,

Any guess how a club who have just financed a new stadium and don''t have tons of money flowing though the bank accounts are going to buy these players????

Sorry I just fancied a rant. I hope you see what i''m trying to say!
Your talking rubbish again, i find these websites to actually be really accurate.

this will be the portsmouth squad in the summer

    GK: Ashdown
Defence: O''Brien,Primus,Kompany, Stefanovic, Resign Arjan De Zeeuw

    Midfeild: Viafara, Bowyer , Davis, Pedro Mendes,Sebastian Larrson(loan from arsenal),taylor, o''neil

Attack: Lua Lua,Koller,Karadas,Messi(loan from baracelona) and Ricardo Fuller.

If Pompey stay up, and that''s a BIG if, I''m also pretty certain that Barcelona and Argentina regular Messi will be at Fratton Park next year, to further his career. Mental.

  12.
That back four suggested carried out the rest of the game against the scum, with Rehman moving to right back - the defence looked more unorganised, and far less strong than it did with Rehman at centre back.
Correct but all good units need time together, and this would definitely be my first choice defence at the moment.

  13. Everybody seems to have forgotten that Fleming is a terrible right back. Remember, we''re trying to build a premiership squad!!!!!!!!!

Rehman is also a competent right-back, so I would take Rehman over Dav for his versatility, as well as the fact he''s cheaper. And what a defence that would be, IMO possibly worthy of the premiership:

    Rehman         Doc         Shax         Drury
