  1. Sell. One of the highest earners at the club. Getting on in age. Made countless errors last season. Ready made replacement in Gunn who would hopefully improve even more with a full season in the championship. Also with Barden back playing again we have even more cover down the line. Any extra funds can go to strengthening the team. 👍🏻

  2. Zero accountability as expected. Blames everyone and everything apart from himself. Attacks the local media for “coming after him” when asking questions is their job. Blames the fans for giving up when they’ve been unbelievably supportive given the worst quality top flight side we’ve ever assembled.
I assume this club interview was meant to appease people and get back on the Webber train. It’s done the exact opposite for me and really can’t wait til this egotistical muppet clears off.

  3. You can have all the talent in the world, but with his mentality you’ll never make the most of it. On the other side of the coin look at Zimmerman. Not the most gifted of players but a brilliant mentality that has maximised his career.

I personally can’t stand the narcissistic side of social media. This craze of posting endless pictures of yourself is ridiculous. Can you imagine, before social media, if someone carried a photo album around with them. Just to update you with their latest pictures. It’s madness.

  4. They definitely need to go. Even forgetting their lack of money their mentality isn’t right for our club. Their blind acceptance of relegation as part of the journey. Begging Webber to stay and letting him dictate his terms. This carefree “what will be will be” attitude is everything wrong here and it’s filtered all the way down. There seems to be no consequences for failure here and that needs to change asap.

  5. It’s not his team but it’s alarming that not one single player has improved under him. In fact I’d argue players have regressed. The players look shot to pieces and like they haven’t got a clue what they’re supposed to be doing.
Just because the championship is inferior I don’t see us turning into a cohesive unit unless we see a massive turnaround in players. The sad thing is that there seems a huge disconnect with the players and the fans also. On a personal note it’s probably only Pukki that I would be disappointed if he left. Lack of desire reeks from this group unfortunately.

  6. “His contract expires in June and though a rolling deal is on the table, it is unsigned at this stage. Talks will continue over his position, with a decision expected before the end of the campaign.“

This quote was regarding Webber. I assumed he’d signed his contract. I expect his departure to be announced soon.

  7. Is a sporting director that hard to replace? Aren’t you basically a project manager? The individual departments are all run by their teams. Ie transfer committee, finance and sports science etc. I’m not knowledgeable in this area but isn’t a sporting director just the figurehead who links it all together?
It seems now is an ideal time to replace Webber. Get everything in place for the next transfer window.
