Watford won, Bournemouth likely to smash B''M''G ..... Looks like we''ll have to be happy with third place at the end of the afternoon.COME ON CITY!!!
Correction -- we can be in the auto''s by the end of today.
Well, Quentin, if you''re going to restrict your comments to "what can be", then we CAN BE top of the table at the end of the day if Bournemouth fail to win. Not likely, of course, but let''s hope Birmingham feel highly motivated to put in a performance as payback for that 8-0 shellacking they suffered at home against the Cherries this season.

  2.

Just catching up on threads, as have been busy over the last few days.Bloody hell Lakey, even by your standards, this is embarrassing.Always somebody else, eh?
The only embarrassing thing on this thread is you entering it.  All I have done on this thread is  give "Bob" a bit of stick for trying a second parody within the space of a few days.  He didn''t like it - surprise, surprise.

  3.
The after match comments of Chris Hughton on FLS (at around 33.30 minutes)

    FLS

Could have been taken from any number of games from last season, narrow 1-0 defeat, better team, better chances etc etc.   You can appreciate what he stands for and his attitude, but hearing that makes you appreciate AN all the more!

Excellent day all round and great to see so many City fans there.
So let''s break this down:"Could have been taken from any number of games from last season, narrow 1-0 defeat, better team, better chances etc etc." -- True [:|]"You can appreciate what he stands for and his attitude, but hearing that makes you appreciate AN all the more!" -- Yes, I do appreciate AN more than Hughton. I''m sure most people do [:|]"Excellent day all round and great to see so many City fans there." -- Yes, a good win and always nice to see great away support, which we''ve had for a number of years, so nothing new there [:P]

That''s about as comprehensive as I can get really, ldc [:D]

  4.
We have two games coming up, as do the other teams in this division (coincidence ?)If we win both we will gain 6 points which could put us above other teams and also higher in the table. But then we might not, and that is where AN will have to box clever. If we draw a game and the teams around us don''t, not only will will lose points against them but wecould drop down the table. That could also happen if we draw both games (or heaven forbid) we draw and lose a game. I hope AN is aware of this.As some of the other teams play each other then they both cannot get three points in those games. And that is where we have a chance, though we cannot get any of the points they drop (it doesn''t work out that way) but we can gain ground on them, and some of the others if they don''t win either. As fans we should be aware of all this, as I hope the players are.I have sent them a letter explaining this and with any luck it has already arrived at Colney. Not one each, but one that Russell Martin can read out to them all. I hope they will all listen, as this is important. And I hope fans on here take note as well, as I don''t want to think that I am wondering lonely as a cloud etc

  5.

Oh bullship, Lake! He was the wrong man for the job. He should never have been hired. They should have looked for a manager whose system fit the players we had. We finished 11th in spite of this, and it was so very boring. But when he got more time and money to shape things his way, it was a disaster.

Who should we have hired? Alex Neil. That would have been the find of the century at that point.
I think he was the right man for the job. A calm and level headed manager, with a good record, who could steady the ship after we had lost one of our greatest ever managers. It was essential for us to stay up that season to finally pay off our debts, and he did it, so he deserves some credit. Saying we should never have hired him is bollox as i didn''t hear anyone complaining when he joined.

We should never have hired him [:D]

Would like to have gone to more this season but because of other things I''ve not been able to make any mid week games- including all first team home games.I went to all of the home cup games in the season the u21s won the youth cup and Forest and Chelsea away as well. Very good of City to put youth games on for free, i''m sure the young lads can only benefit from a good vocal support.
Its a brilliant thing, and I can''t understand why other clubs aren''t doing it, or perhaps they are but the fans aren''t grabbing it like we are.Football for free, whats not to like?
It was tonights match or my missus who I''ve recently wed who is twenty years younger than me in front of an open fire, naked with a fangino as tight as mouses ear and nips as firm as doorstops.
Ooh, the "Is football better than sex" debate.
[:D] Of course football is better than sex. getting both simultaneously is a sod though.
