1.
Football is a game of two halves. I have a feeling this might be an evening of two halves. Yes, some sides are leading but 2-0 is a dangerous lead and momentum can easily swing.

It is going to be interesting to look at the results tonight versus the half-time scores. They might be like chalk and cheese.

1p5wich are flaky and Wolves have GOT to come out and go for it. Hopefully though AN can send out a different Norwich side second half and these Leeds players will tire. We''ll be ok so long as they don''t get something to hold onto.
Wise words there, RH [:)]

  2.
I''m alright thanks Quentin, I''m capable of doing more than one thing of an evening.

Your input to this thread has been fantastic though.
Yeah thanks, my opinion regarding the topic of the thread was that AN is proving to be a very good manager and that NA should at least warrant some credit for his contribution to the cause. What else did you want to discuss?

  4.
@nigel- I don''t quite understand what you are getting at there. The majority of the squad we have playing for us at the moment was assembled under Lambert/Hughton (in fact yesterday we had as many Glenn Roeder signings in the starting 11 than Neil Adams). The best players in this team had nothing to do with Adams and as I mentioned one of them was out on loan due to falling out with Adams.

I''d give quite a bit of credit to the board- it would have been easy for them to cash in on Redmond, Johson, Howson etc but they didn''t and that is one of the big reasons we were able to kick on when Neil arrived.
You need to thoroughly read the contents of posts within threads before replying, f*ck-knuckle [:@]

  5.
Adams wasn''t good enough due to inexperience, but he left us in a decent position for Alex to start from, so deserves a little hint of credit.(Lennon has done an ok job rather than a great job btw).
Grabban and Cameron, 30 goals between them this season - who signed them? Who politely walked away in 7th with over half the season left?A ''little hint'' of credit my ar5e [:@]

What a shame we have this instead of a thread to recognise what Adams''s achieved. When Adams resignded we were in a position to go on to do what we have. A much stronger position than Cardiff and Fulham who were enjoying similar advantages. The difficulties relegated have are well documented but Adams still managed to keep us in contention throughout the difficult Summer Window and the months leading up to January. In fact it wasn''t until the January Window closed that the togetherness of the squad really began to be apparent.

So we could reverse the question and ask if Alex Neil would have achieved this had he come in during the summer. And of course we can''t answer that question. Would we have got Dorans earlier. Or would Tony Andreu have been used instead of Wes had he been here earlier? Would Alex Neil have signed Cameron Jerome and Lewis Grabban? Maybe not or he may have signed people even better.

I''m grateful that Neil Adams guided us through the most difficult period for relegated clubs. I''m grateful that he managed to hold together a squad made up of some players on their best contracts and some enduring a 40% pay cut. Was that easy? I don''t think so. For David McNally to enthuse about Bradley Johnson''s loyalty means there must be a flip side. And the body language when this question was asked at the AGM suggested the flip side was a problem.

I''m sure whether we win promotion or just miss out Alex Neil will be the first to recognise Neil Adams contribution.
Oh that is a magnificent post Nigel [Y][:)] We are in a great place right now, but nobody could realistically say we

wouldn''t be in this exact same position if  Adams and Phelan had

remained at the helm. I''m grateful that the latter put us in such a

strong position before Alex took the reigns - and I''m certain he is

coming from the shi*e that is the Scottish League, it must have been

similar to a substantial lottery win taking over a potential Premier

League side a point outside the play-offs with over half the season

left. Alex is proving to be a good manager, but please let''s not disrespect the love of our club and work that Adams put in.

  7.
If he was a faultless defender, he''d be at a bigger club then us. As it is, he has been a cracking signing for us and is more than adequate for what we need from him. If hope if we went up, we''d buy a quality cb to challenge him for his place though.
Agreed, Smithy -- get back to the Premier where we belong and bloody well stay there [Y] Martin is dedicated and been of great service to our club but his Premier credentials are lacking and I won''t even blame the inept Hughton for that.Unfortunately, being sentimental, for the most part, has gone from the beautiful game and we as a club are still guilty of being influenced by emotional feelings for staff who''ve served us well. It isn''t like the old days where players earned a standard living and were kept on at the age of 36 out of sentiment -- these days players know they''ll never have to work again in their twenties.

  8.
Bournemouth 46 35 92

    Norwich 46 31 91

    Watford 46 28 90

    Derby 46 29 85

    Middlesbrough 46 28 85

    Brentford 46 12 84

    Ipswich 46 17 75

    Nott''m Forest 46 8 73

    Wolverhampton 46 6 73

    Can''t see anything stopping Bournemouth.

The biggest danger to our promotion chances is Watford.

As I''ve said before: Derby and Boro are play-off contenders only.
Your predictions are looking strong Mr Hucker -- though both Bournemouth & us will now have to win all our remaining games to meet your predicted points tally.
