Akpom to Notts Forrest makes sense - he''ll get game time... Good luck to him! -
Wilson, Antenucci front?
Have I missed some rumours? -
I rate Lewis Grabban above Cameron Jerome - Yes goals are important and we can all count who has the most, but I think Grabban is above Jerome in terms of what he brings to the team... -
Olsson for player of the season? Ha ha ha ha ha ah ah ah aha ha ha... Yes he played a blinder at the weekend, but player of the season really?!! -
Ray, your response couldn''t any more ''mature'' and boring... no one wants to read that... -
Why do the ''older'' fans need a page in a newspaper to whinge about the current plight of the club and what used to be? That''s what you all sit on the pinkun for.Younger fans are more enthusiastic and less ''That''s not how they did it in my day... etc''. Michael Bailey appears to be under 35, and is a breath of fresh of air when it comes to NCFC opinions, views and write-ups. His show 3-up-front is actually a good watch too. Give the young guns a chance. Rather than writing them off before they''ve begun you old negative whingers! -
You''ve given out 7''s after last nights performance, do you work for Archant? Ruddy 6 - did what he had to do, unlucky to concede. Whittaker - 6 some nice passing moves, tried to get the team forward. Martin - 5 looked like he was on holiday / sluggishBassong 6 - organisedRedmond 3 - awful performance, didn''t take anyone on, over passed, no shots, no runs, no ideas... Poor game, again! Johnson 5 - Look a rabbit in headlights playing in the middle of the park, improved when back on the left. Howson 4 - Passenger. He''s in the team, but you really wouldn''t notice if he wasn''t. Sideways passing specialist. Dorrans 5 - Tried his best, but was quite clearly the new player in the team. Hooper 2 - He was shocking in the first half and rightly subbed. Zero effort, Zero anything! Jerome 4 - You can see why AN prefers Grabban. Hoolahan 4 - didn''t quite turn the game around like we all hoped. Morris 4 - he was full of running but the senior players didn''t seem to want him there* He was in a brilliant position towards the end of the match yet Wes opted to try play CR in - who had to fight for space, Morris already had it. -
Another poorly directed whinge? I started a new post that is now on its third page - obviously some people thought it was a worthy or valid topic. It''s better than some of the pointless discussions on here... -
I''ve read a few stories this past week or so regarding the future of our young canaries, McGeehan and Toffolo to name but a few who are unsure of their futures. It''s got me thinking - Are Norwich City missing a trick, or a pair of balls? You look at the like of Southampton, plying their trade at the top end of the Premier League this season, yet when they have a player out injured or suspended, they have no fear in playing a ''kid'' in the first teamers place. A lot of us ''fans'' on here are of the impression that any of our youth players playing for NCFC in the championship is unheard of, yet Southampton will happily chuck a ''child'' into the mix. Does or is Tony Andreu really offering any more than McGeehan could do? (Yes, I know he''s only just signed and i''ve made a snap judgement but it''s ''the point'' i''m trying to get across). I like the Southampton philosophy of playing the kids, and you could argue about them being a ''different level'' but I think it comes down to chances, and we, at Norwich, don''t give our young players enough of a try before shipping them out. We will rue the loss of McGeehan if he disappears in the summer, the same for Toffolo and eventually Morris too. Yes they need to get experience currently, but I believe these players should be forming the nucleus of our team for the future -
What the hell has that post got to do with anything Norwich related? Bor Bor Bor you really are a sad piece of work -
The way some people talk of Paul Lambert on here, is if he never lead us back up the premier league, successive promotions and entertained us with some of the best attacking football NCFC has ever seen. So he left Norwich for a different challenge, who can blame him? I changed my job after 2 to 3 years, why shouldn''t he? Some of you are so jealous and angry - It''s like Paul Lambert filed for divorce from you, when he chose to move on... He did it at a respectable time and on his terms... People need to get over the fact Lambert ''ditched'' Norwich and move on. He was a class manager for Norwich City and so what if he didn''t succeed at Villa? Not many managers have in recent years - Get over it... Would I take him back at Norwich? No, not right now - I''m quite happy with Alex Neil. -
If this is true, then I look forward to watching Brentford fall down the league and Warburton go up... Shocking handling of the club by the board, who do they think they are Leeds? Chopping and changing managers willy-nilly. -
I wonder how many people would have said the same about Grant Holt at that age... -
Fair points... -
Don''t take this the wrong way etc... Brilliant Hat-Trick, well taken goals and so on. But, did anyone else think he should have been subbed on Saturday at around the time of his penalty? The first 50 minutes he played well, but in my opinion, he look knakered before and after his penalty. When I saw Andreu warming up, I, like many around me thought it would be for Hooper. But no, he took off the ridiculously influential Hoolahan. AN obviously rate Hooper to keep him on all game, even though i thought he looked worn out - I just thought it was strange. -
It looks like loads of players for the one position, I agree - but as we''ve seen recently - we clearly are lacking in the middle of the park. Some of those listed are kids and a few of them are ''practically'' always injured.Bradley Johnson and Wes are the only midfielders I think bring anything to our team. The others are passengers... -
Every Tom, Dick and Harry thinks they could manager ''their'' team better. Alex Neil comes across well... and I admire his passion and desire. He does have a drive in him, that I haven''t seen from a manager since PL. -
Jacob Butterfield is having a decent season at Huddersfield. He wasn''t great against us at Carrow Road, but he''s still banged in a handful and is playing well... But yeah, he''s no PG. -
In the past few days two articles have surfaced, one comparing our new player to Lampard (EDP) and a second article making comparisons to Fabregas (BBC). Is this wise judging a player before he has even made his debut for his new club? Do you think that these comparisons will work as motivation or pressure? I guess it comes down to his character and personality and I wish him all the best for Saturday. If either of these opinions/articles are remotely close to being correct, then we have a hell of a player on our hands. Good Luck Monsieur Andreu -
Scott Sinclair - Estimated Transfer Cost £3 millionWilfried Zaha - Estimated Transfer Cost £3-6 millionAaron Lennon - Loan (Est Value £3-7 million)Tom Ince - Compensation paid to Blackpool was approx. £2 million. Yet a handful of Norwich fans think Redmond, is worth at least ten million? If you compare an in-form Sinclair for example, granted its been a few years since ''form'' happened for him, but at Swansea in the championship and Premier League he was incredible, double figures for goals and assists. Now compare that to Mr Ten Million... A couple of goals and assists this year, he looks comfortable at this level - yet people still think he''ll be off to Liverpool... Saying that Liverpool only paid £5 million for Sterling... Which makes the £10+ for Redmond even more laughable... If you take off the canary spectacles, Redmond hasn''t actually added anything really to the £3 million price tag we apparently paid for him. He''s still raw, still dangerous and threatening but his final product is woeful. -
Football fans pay there money to be entertained, the same as going to the theatre or a concert. If you are impressed or pleased with the performance you clap and/or show appreciation. If an actor or musician is on stage but fails to ''turn up'' - whether it be bum notes, screwing up their lines up or singing out of tune you would be disappointed. You may boo, refuse to clap or even walk out early. You''ve paid your money to be entertained. It''s your decision to boo or ''show your hand'' - you''re the one spending £25 to £35 quid to sit watching ''that'' for 90 minutes. -
My point is, I don''t think you have to ''married'' to a club. I go, I enjoy it.. But I aint going to go get a NCFC tattoo or anything. I cheer when we win and boo when we lose... Football is just a game... That too many people take too seriously... -
Just because I''ve raised a few message board posts that relate to money - it doesn''t mean I don''t ''support'' our club.I''m very much one of a kind when it comes to ''supporting in football''... I''m more of a football fan then a Norwich fan - i go to the games with my family, it''s a day out and I do like watching the canaries... I have my favourite players like everyone and sing-a-long when need be... But am I a Norwich City fan through and through - no. I like football, I like good football... Norwich just happen to by my local team. Before I get to many more digs - this is my 8th year of being a season ticket holder, i think... I have 4 Norwich Shirts... -
So many other centre backs... But you still think someone new is coming in?
bournemouth gone for experience....
