i am 100% certain that he wouldn''t leave 4 atleast 2 seasons. If some people think hes leaving us 4 either Leeds, Tottenham or Southampton then their wrong! -
What a ground we would have then hey! when would the other tier be put on top of the city stand. If we got and stayed in the prem probs? would they have to take the roof of the stand or just build on top of it? -
You can''t help feel sorry for poor old Leon. Makes a dream debut at Ipswich, score 4 in 5 games but now can''t get in the team. And next week there is no reason why the team will be changed so it will probably be his 4th game on the bench. We all know 4-4-2 has been the best formation for us so thats not going to change. Huckerby is gonna start every match with a big man along side him (Roberts/Svensson) so were is Mckenzie going to fit into all of this. The only way he will start would be if Hucks got injured or played in a different position. The last two games when Mckenzie and Huckerby both started was when we lost to Bradford and drew at Rotherham. It looks like to me that its one or the other.
What do the rest of the world think? -
It would be nice to have a big screen score board but thats if we really have a lot of spare money going. Wolves have got one (not sure when they put it up) but it could be instead of a corner stand infill. -
Every week its all getting more and more tence. Lets just sit back and enjoy what a great team we have thats been put together. If we go up there will be no pressure on us as everyone would expect us to go straight back down anyway.
I''ve been fortunate enough to get a season ticket 4 next season so I will want to be enjoying watching 2 great sides playing in front of me! -
he would be a good signing for the rest of the season. I don''t think we would sign him full time after that though. -
If Greeno goes to Euro 2004 then he could be off to the stars with the best in England. There would be a lot of teams interested in him then and would we have the power to keep hold of him? -
Leeds have got a better squad than any div 1 team but what about the 3 that went up? We are better than Wolves, most likely Leicester and maybe Portsmouth. If atleast 1 of them stayed up then I bet we''ll come higher than them in the Prem! -
We''ed have no chance getting him. Im sure hes getting a few bob a week and we would never be able to afford him or if we could it would be to unreasonable. Look outside the top 3, there are still plenty good affordable CB''s elsewhere. -
cityangel did say ''not ex loan players'' but would we still need Crouch? he is good but im sure we could get someone better with a better goal scoring ratio and more experience. If we don''t score goals we''ll have no chance! Sutton would easily be my top choice. Scores goals, europe experience and very good physically. Would he be to much or would he want to come here again? -
If we go up then then the corner infill should be on the first thing on the ''to do'' list. If the whole stand took only just over half a season and cost about £7 mil then the infill would be completed by the start of the season and wouldn''t cost much. Ideally we would love to stay up but if we don''t we will have another stepping stone to build on to get stronger for the next promotion push and go up with an even better chance of staying up. We can''t go over the top with spending, as long as they use it wisely to bring in quality then we might have a good chance.
Has anyone seen on the BBC website that Eddie Gray has said that he''s not going to play Batty anymore. Could be a possible signing?! -
You''ve just got to see the abuse as a compliment really (not a very good one but there you go)! Its like that with all the best players around the world, Nistelrooy and Henry get it all the time. It just spurs them on to play even better and and to shut them up by winning the game. -
Yeah, we had an excellent day today. 5 points clear of WBA, 9 points clear of 3rd placed Wigan. Can''t be bad hey! It was very important that we took advantage of the other teams today and that is what we done. With the run of games we''ve got we''ve got to be prepared if we lose and/or draw a couple of our big games. But at the moment I can''t see that happening. Wigan looked very good in the 1st half against Ipswich an a Wigan player said they like the home teams attacking them coz they r quick on the break so that will be an interesting game.
Well done to the lads today! -
Some of the money will probably be put in a kitty for next years transfers. IF we go up we will have to spend big (maybe wrong?) and the future of the club has to be put first, we don''t want to be having to sell people like Hucks coz we went OTT on transfers and wages. Lets wait and see how we get on coz at the mo there is no need for extra players if we continue to pull away from the rest of the pack. -
3-0 to wigan so far but a draw would still be nice (could still happen!). Don''t forget 13 wins is the maximum so we will only need about 9 or 10 probably( depending on the other teams). If we can keep it up we''ll have no probs. West Ham, Sunderland and Sheff Utd aren''t playing next week coz of the fa cup so if we win we could go 13 points clear if its a draw at the scummers 2nite!! But away to Coventry will be another very hard game. -
After they all watch us beat Sunderland, WBA, Wigan and Reading live on sky sports, then they''ll be saying how good we are and that we''re going to go up! How come even though the Norwich v Ipswich derbies are always on sundays, they are never on TV? -
I would also say that we haven''t got a bad away form. We''ve only lost 3 away games in the league all season and the last one was against West Brom on Oct 18th! And the other 2 were Sheff Utd which was no suprise and Forest when they were good coz they had David Johnson playing. Also we''ve drawn against Wigan, Milwall, Preston and West Ham away from home with a win against Ipswich away on top. Not bad for a team with a bad div 1 away record is it?! Saying that last year would have been a different story! But in the prem i think we will struggle away from home so we will rely heavily on our home record for keeping us up. -
There was something about a Carlos Edwards from Wrexham. He''s a wing-back (probably right hand side) and we were said to be one of us, Wigan, Rotherham and Dundee looking at him. Nothing has come of it though. -
You would need a bit of young blood in aswell as the experienced players. Some 4 example would be Barmby, Wilcox?, Batty? But one thing is for sure we will have to spend big if we want to stay in the prem if we get there next year! -
30 points is cutting it too close really. West Brom is a must win and you would want to be looking for atleast a point at Sunderland, Reading and Palace. I know that we can''t win every game so thats why 1pt against WBA, Wigan and Stoke is not enough. To be safe, it has worked out in the last few years that you need 90 pts minimum for auto promotion. So if we lose a game it is vital that we win the next 2. -
What is Worthy gonna do against Wimbledon? Will it be the same that beat Sheffield, rest Roberts 4 Svensson?, play Huckerby on the left or right?, somehow put McKenzie in?, rest Huckerby?!, play 4-2-4 or 3-3-4 and play all of them? I really haven''t got a clue!
This is the best strike force that we''ve had for atleast over a 5 years now, in my opinion.
Who do u think will start our next game? -
Yeah he definately deserves it. He''s now joint top scorer with 6 alongside Hucks and considering how much he has played hes got a pretty class goal per game ratio. He''s got 6 to go before he reaches the 100 mark for us in goals scored so he has to hit that milestone. Hes got to be a candidate to start against Wimbledon. But with Svensson coming back and McKenzie not playing today it will be a difficult decision 4 Worthy. -
I very much doubt that we spent £3.5m on players and Hucks is on £18''000 a week. Neil Warnock doesn''t know Norwich''s financial business it was just a guess like we all guess how much Hucks is on. I would say he''s on £15''000 tops plus bonuses and wage rise if we go up.
I saw the other day somewhere, might have been on the Norwich site about the ticket prices that it was about £2m we spent alltogether. -
Having seen speculation today on the sky sports website that Norwich are one of Wigan, Rotherham and Dundee that are all keeping a close eye on him, will the Wrexham wing-back be our answer to the right mid position? Does anyone know anything about him?
Poor Mr. McKenzie
