yeh definately. he is actually 4th now. only 3 goals behind 1st. amazing really. i would love him to stay. if we dont go up, he goes, we go up, he stays. i think he would stay 6 more months in this division when he''s got the next 14 or whatever years in the premiership. if he goes, it will be down to the board wanting to take the money, not because ashton is desperate to leave. -
As for Trundle, why does he get on soccer AM because of Show boat?! Tricks don''t win matches, goals do.he has got 17 goals. he has said that is the way he has always played. being a flair player is his style. -
i''d agree with doherty. like previously said, he is a real success story this season. and going on who has won the most MOTM, surely he is way ahead? -
definately niemi. all round better keeper imo. the one we let in, was far more easier to save than some of the saves he made. green is a good keeper, but makes too many errors. -
will we really improve that much if we buy him? i know it will make us stronger, but we had him for 3 months, and look where we are. its not a huckerby situation, we do not desperately need him. so i dont think we will buy him. -
one thing that has lead me to believe he will be going is that worthington said that if and only when a substansial bid is on the table, BUSINESS WILL BE DONE. that doesn''t really give me alot of confidence. but i am certain if he leaves, the amount will be right for us. even though it will be a huge loss to lose him after only 1 year. seems such a shame really. one real quality player we''ve had in some time, i hope we can just see him for atleast another 6 months in a norwich shirt. -
i think he will return, yes. but certainly not before his loan has finished. having safri, robinson and etuhu is fine for now. -
its a tough one to answer. we can all take a stab at it, but do the players even know why? it looked to me as if it was a lack of concentration, because prutton (i think it was) got behind our defence in achres of space. sort this out, keep scoring, and who knows where we can finish this season. -
if he did say £3m, he''s an absolute joke (or the producers are). why do people say these things when its clear they know nothing about norwich. really annoys me. doubt he will go there. has to be man city or west ham imo. but if he is going, more clubs interested the better. -
shouldn''t your name be reading4ever ? lolwhat a waste of a thread this is. -
it doesn''t matter about them prices as we all know that will neverhappen. we wont have a completely new team. we most likely will haveatleast 5/6 players from our line up against coventry at the start ofnext season, if/when we dont go up. -
i really wouldn''t bet against anything. it seems they are determined to ruin this club. -
-
he''s a good player, but he hasn''t really made a difference (in the lastmonth or so), so what is the point in buying him? how can things getworse without him? -
i have never even considered us getting relegated before, however, nowlosing 2-0 to coventry, i see it as a big possibility. there is nosigns we will turn it around. forest kept thinking things will comeright. lets hope we can, because now, the best we can do is stay up.let alone come in the top half imo.as current things stand (all current scores the same) we are now 9 points behind 6th. that gap will only increase. -
i really think this is a great signing for us. the player, and the situation, all sounds so similar to francis! not played consistent for quite some time, has got a lot of potential and shows real class on occasions. francis is now playing very well for his new team, and i would like to think this will be the same for him.We know we wont be lacking effort or commitment if he wants a move away, and will want to make a good first impression. so we might get to see the best of Etuhu that anyone has seen for a long time. safri and hughes has not really worked out, hopefully this will. -
very good post imo.
another example of this is at wigan. not the best team in the league, but their confidence and belief going in to every game is massive. if they had dropped their heads after chelsea, they could have been 1 off bottom!
as you said, alot of the game is a mental thing, and clearly they are not going into every game confident. how/who/what can change this, is something that needs to be sorted out. quick. -
could have something to do with the window. but also, there are not alot of good managers available. things have slowed down recently, boards are alot more cautious and really trying to avoid the big decisions. -
Sat at the other end of the ground and didnt have a clue what happened or who scored! There was a delay before it registered we HAD scored probably waiting for an awful ref to have spotted another no...
i sit in the n&p and didn''t even know what happened so i can see why you didn''t! only knew what happened from the tv. but still, that bit of ''luck'' gave a bit of relief and im sure the players can play now not feeling the pressure so much. but last two goals have been own goals, its time we scored some ourselves. lol -
seen it at the ground and on tv. it happens quite quick so nothing keeper could do to get out of way. so it was more a feeling of relief than finding it hilarious lol. -
i liked them mate. nice. -
if lisbie goes back i should think it will still be ashton, mcveigh and huckerby as the front 3. so thorne would only be on the bench for now. -
yeh he has to be. even though he was terrible against coventry. could easily have had MOTM for the last 5 games. more of the same please. -
I totally agree with this. Fantastic is the right word. He is there for everything. He is the first to thank the fans, the first to go and break things up when other players are in a bit of trouble, the first to go and congradulate a player when scoring.
and the perforances have improved dramatically since he has been appointed. long may he continue leading our team.
Best wishes to Andy Hughes.
