Salopian 1 Posted August 24, 2005 At last Worthy has admitted that we need to strengthen the defence, but regretted that there are not many about.This is progress, but sadly we would have to reply, "No, but there were."Is there any hope that there will be another conversion, and that he will agree with us that we badly need a quality central midfielder? Or are there not too many about?If, as seems likely, Morrison signs for Palace, we shall have some money. If he insists on a striker, why not Eastwood? The difficulty is finding one who is all of a) better b) in our price range c) willing to come to Norwich and d) at a club willing to sell him, all at the same time. I bet it''s easy to find someone who ticks 2 or 3 of those boxes, but not all four.i.e. Sidwell may well be a good idea, but unless Reading are willing to sell and he is willing to come, that''s the end of that, however good an idea it might be.
