Dave 0 Posted January 31, 2013 For those who say that we are scraping the barrel rather than signing Hooper just think for a minuteHooper has never played top flight football in England, he currently plays in the top flight in Scotland , a division that at best is equivalent to the championship in England. He plays for Celtic who are considerably bigger than better than all of the other teams that play in the scots premier league some of those clubs would struggle in our league one.At a reasonable price he may have been worth a punt but for the money Celtic want he would be a huge risk, perhaps we will go back in for him in the summer when the price may be reduced especially if he decides he wants to leave and gets ever closer to an end of contract.
