  1. I''m happy with Malky. I''d be happier with Lennon. I agree that DM seemed to distance himself from Malky. I get the impression that Malky isn''t keen on us, nor are the club that keen on him. However, I might be wrong here.

Perhaps Charlie Wyatt''s contacts in the club have given him a bit of false news so the club can go about their business with the actual manager they want without the spotlight being on them. Saying that, it''ll probably just end up being Malky.

It''ll be today or tomorrow. They said "within the next few days". Could be anytime.

I agree that the Technical Director will be someone we''ve never heard of. They don''t have to be high profile and most likely won''t be. It''s a behind the scenes job and most of the names mentioned as a possible TD would want to be at the forefront.

  2. I saw it coming before the WBA home game, Morty. Also, DM reactivated his twitter after we beat Stoke away. That was a petty move. However, I felt his comments to Nick Conrad today on the ''Relegation worse than death'' quote was justified. Nick tried to use it in broad terms, whereas David actually said it in sporting terms and it''s only fair of him to clarify that.

  3. Why Glenn Hoddle? He failed at Wolves, played poor football, drew most games 0-0. Failed at Spurs too. People were throwing their season tickets at him when he was at Spurs.

What is so great about Hoddle? Nothing that I can see. He looks so desperate on TV touting for the Spurs job all the time too. Would hate Hoddle as manager.

  4. I do take your point to a degree, but Sherwood only has 17 games more experience than Neil Adams. Surely that''s not enough and you must also see my point that what''s the point in appointing someone with 17 games more experience than Adams? It would just seem a bit strange.

Charlie Wyatt is rarely wrong though so Malky looks to be nailed on but nothing has given me the impression he or the board are that keen.

  5. I have a feeling about Sherwood too. Not my choice but I just have a feeling. I think Tim''s outspoken approach would soften a little bit here too as he''d respect the owners. He''d get support from the owners. He''d also benefit from the help of a Technical Director, being an inexperienced manager.

The only thing I don''t understand about Tim, is that if we appoint him, we might as well get Neil Adams in there as manager. Tim probably has five months more experience that Adams? Not enough to make Tim the better option, in my eyes.

  6. I go back to my point last week, if it was Neil Adams, he would have the job by now. The board are not thick. They would know that time going on and on would only raise our hopes. If it was Neil, he''d have been in the job about 5/6 days already.

I don''t see it being Malky. I''m just not convinced he wants to come or that the board particularly want him. I think the appointment will be a surprise. A complete surprise.

  7. I think we can all agree that Wiz is someone with deep emotional issues that he needs to sort out beyond this board. See a therapist, friend.

Yes, I do agree that the nationals think it''s Malky, but what the board had to say on RM this morning makes it seem like its not Malky.

Before Lambert was appointed, I wanted Steve Coppell. My choice there would''ve been wrong. Lambert was more than right. I don''t think many of us wanted Lambert when he was appointed so maybe the same will be true this time. Not many will want the appointed manager, but that man that not many people want might just be the right person.

  8. I felt the phone in was dealt with brilliantly by all concerned. I''m a little worried about this Technical Director. It''s so important that it''s the right man to work with our new manager.

I''ve always loved Delia. Ok, she has the ability to come out with the odd silly comment, but ultimately she''s a fan and has been great for this club. Same with Michael who I''ve rarely heard speak, but he seemed on good form - quite a funny chap but serious about the club.

David McNally - I wrote a post on here a couple of weeks back questioning his position. What a fool I was. It was in the heat of the moment and now time has passed, it''s clear to see just what he''s done for this football club. It''s just a blip, hopefully, and with the right appointment, we can progress again. It won''t be easy but I think we can do it.
