1. That''s unlikely though, the club insists that the debt is "manageable", so I doubt there''s any real urgency to pay it off in a shorter timeframe than that agreed with the lenders. The only way I see that happening is if it''s a full-on takeover, which Delia has said would never happen unless the buyers would guarantee a large sum for squad development...Therefore, if it''s a piddly little loan there''ll be hell to pay.

  2. Can''t comment on the Rigters and Rasiak rumours, but I spoke to a mate who works for FITC at Carrow Park and he said that he''s seen Andy Cole around Carrow Road 3 or 4 times in recent weeks.

I''d be happy with a leading line of Rasiak and Rigters, with Curo and Cole waiting in the wings.

  3. Not wanting to be a GNG or an ncfclad, but someone who I know who works for FITC tells me that Andy Cole has been at Carrow Road 3/4 times over the last week. Personally I''m not a huge fan of him anymore, but I said the same about Dion... Guess we''ll have to wait and see.He also said that Hucks is on his way to San Jose Earthquakes next week, but has a prior arrangement with FITC for a "Legends Day" which he is hoping to come back for. The bloke''s a legend.

this seems very strange, i gotta funny feeling that it could be a sweetener for the gorrks situation..... cos some sites been saying QPR where buying him for £600k, maybe he never had release clause so we gonna tie another deal up for him or maybe we paying £250k + gilks for them both???

    dare to dream??

    [:O]
My theory is this...

Blackpool realise that they have negotiated a low release clause into Wes'' contract. Norwich come along and want to sign Gorkss and Hoolahan. Hoolahan''s release fee is £250k and Blackpool can''t negotiate that, whereas Gorkss doesn''t have this clause. Therefore, in order to not look like total mugs to the outside world and their fans, they have negotiated (for example) £600k plus Gilks for Gorkss, but are publically stating that Gilks is part of the Hoolahan deal to "boost" that transfer sum.

Or, I could be totally wrong...

    jealousy is sweet

    so by that

joe cole, michael carrick, david james, jermaine defoe would be useless for signings if norwich got promoted next season
No offence, but I remember Stearman playing here last year and being absolutely ripped to shreads by Hucks.

    £1.6m well spent?

  6. FAO Jas, the self-professed King of the Barclay...

Who would you like us to sign? When ever I have a browse of this forum, in particular those ones linking us with incoming transfers, you always seem to write these players off. Why?

You pick holes in every potential signing, so, who would you choose?
I see what you''re saying, Bucketman. However I think Roeder has a group of targets he''s had in his mind quite a while. It sounds as if McCourt really was a last minute thing and not really a long term target. Also, I don''t think he ever made a bid, just an enquiry. Although I might be wrong.
I might be wrong, but I think Roeder really wanted McCourt, and he was one of his intended targets.
I read somewhere that McCourt wasn''t really on our radar until the recent scouting network shake-up. Basically our new guy in Ireland said that Paddy was on his way to West Brom, but we might want to have a go... We did, but alas Celtic were too much to compete with.

This Post on a Blackpool Message board makes interesting comments on the Wes deal. The scribe makes the point later in the thread that the Norwich offer is the best to date, but his brother/agent is still looking to see if there is a better deal. The site is AVFTT.co.uk.

    Wes

nothing like that.............he is (or his brother / agent) holding out for a better deal...Norwich have offered hom 250k signing on fee and 12k a week (hes on 8k at Pool)....he''s gone, best move on, the only person who will benefit by not making his move is the weeee man as other clubs have the chance to improve this package .....good look to him, but I must admit if he had gone to improved league rather than a competitor it would have been a easier pill to swallow
I don''t believe that for a minute. Like Blackpool could afford to pay him £8k a week, particularly when he signed from Livingstone when Blackpool were in League One.

    I believe he''s signed.

  9. So why don''t you tell us exactly what is going on? If him lying is "as far from the truth as possible" you must know something...?

I didn''t say he was lying, I said that either him, or the Binner made it up (which in retrospect, perhaps you''re right, I should have said "is wrong" rather than "made it up"). When he comes back and says that he made a mistake, I will have no problem with it.

Anyway, who cares... Let''s see if Ameobi signs or not!

I don''t see why people have frankly bullied Gordon simply because he claims to have a source in the club. There is just as much evidence as him being correct as there is against him being correct - but as usual the doubting idiots on this forum will refuse to believe him and worse abuse him and anyone that may believe him. You don''t have to believe him, but if you don''t have anything constructive to add, then don''t post in this thread.
He said that two players would be signing, one would be Bell, and that the other had a problem with his contract.

To the best of my knowledge there was nothing unusual about Sammy Clingan''s contract, he was just holding out to see how many other offers he got.

In my opinion, GNG has just been recycling the Bell/Hoolahan rumours that everyone else has been posting.
What and recycling the days transfers will happen and I said Ameobi will not be coming, last night and this morning according to the Daily Mail, Star and all the North East papers he had signed, now the media has changed its mind.

I am recycling nothing just telling it how it is, I never said Wes would sign this week, there were however as I said issues with Clingan signing,

Wes has signed and it will be announced as soon as he is back which Iam lead to believe was today or Friday
His very own brother-in-law (if he is to be believed) says that Wes isn''t back from holiday in Florida until 28th June. So one (or both of you) are making it up.
Right. So obviously it''s not possible that he''s been given bad information about Wes'' return home? Immediatly he''s possibly a liar simply because he thought he was back today or tomorrow?

Come on guys, grow up - and quick! This guy is obviously passing on information he''s received or is telling fibs. If he''s lying, stop reading the forum. Don''t keep jumping down his neck every time you see a possible discrepancy. It really is childish and immature. If you don''t believe him stop reading, and better yet stop responding.
I came to a reasonable conclusion based on the evidence at hand. I''d hardly call that "childish and immature".

If he''s right, great. I want us to sign Hoolahan, but all this guess-work and supposition is annoying.

I don''t think anyone really cares when signings are announced, more who they are and if it''s 100% true.

Stop it with all this press conference rubbish!

We don''t have to have a press conference every time we sign a player, and indeed we don''t!
Maybe we''ll sign several players...

Anyway, I just want to be kept informed, not shouted down by you.
You ought to be reported to offsomething for that post.

    Turd
Huh?

It''s not like I threatened to send my mates round with guns!!! (topical)

Or are you talking about the "several players signing" thing?

  13. Don''t forget that he''s coming in on a free transfer. Whichever way you look at it, you have to realise that he''s a decent player and won''t have cost us more than a signing on fee, and his wages. We signed Fozzy on a free, and although opinion is divided over him, it has worked out fairly well. Clingan could turn out to be a bargain, and would give us extra depth in the midfield.
