    diffrence being-holt now has little to offer on the pitch, being a presence in the dressing room isnt enough, its taking up a squad place and wages. we need to go a level up from grants quality or we will get left behind in the league and find ourselves struggling.

    ruddy however, this would worry me. a player in his prime who is a huge presence on the pitch-who is commanding and reliable and who will earn us many points.

    not to say that im not sad to see GH leave though, he has been mr ncfc-but his time in the top league has passed. no room for sentimentality if we want to progress.

    I would imagine, should Holt agree terms, that this will happen. I''m aware that some on here maybe in denial, but it all sort of makes sense for player and clubs. Holt will want to be playing football next season, he isnt one for bench warming. Also, its up North which is where he wants to be. I will miss him however, a huge part of our recent history.
