After recent sale of Earnshaw we dont need the money so why sell him to one of our rivals? Sure we could buy a new player but they will take time to bed in. We should hold on to our best players plus our squad is still thin, despite safri being away with Morocco and injury prone we are better off keeping him imo.

he was highly rated when he broke into the fulham first team and got a lot of press as he was as asian player who had made it at a prem club. He has played england youth and under 20 football but somewhat reluctantly pledged his international future to pakistaan after he was ignored for the england under 21 squad.

I am not sure why he drifted out of the fulham 1st team as he had a v good run earlier this season.

So it looks like we may not get Morrisson after all cos he has a better offer from palace. Nothing is decided yet though. Worthy commented that he might move for a central defender if the right man comes available. I would much rather we didnt get morrisson as that would mean we would have 2 million to spend on a quality centre half to partner shackell.

Plus i dont want to see Mckenzie relegated to the bench.

remember last time we were in div 1 and we signed svennson, mckenzie and hucks in the space of a week or so. worthy loves his strikers.

NW obviously feels that a player of morrisons class (IMO he is good) may not be available if and when we go up and has chosen to pick him up now.

ashton/clint/mckenzie rotating so thay are all kept fresh will be a terrifying prospect for championship defences.

deano is going to take this league apart, he did it at crewe with a mediocre team around him. Mckenzie, hucks will make us the most dangerous team around. Southampton will prob lose crouch (philips already gone) so i think its btwn us and palace, fingers crossed johnson leaves palace! I think wolves will revert to their old ways.

i really do think we will win this league comfortably x

he dosent mention worthy but he does say the only good manager he had was terry venables!! At least he dosent slag worthy off directly but i take his silence to mean he didnt think much of him.

can anyone clear this up? if i am not mistaken jarret played centre back the season before last and therefore only recently converted to a midfield role. If this is the case, perhaps worthy will play him at centre back, like hie did at blackpool.

According to the SUN worthy has agreed a nominal fee for darren ward of Millwall. Are any other papers reporting this?

 

More importantly is he any good? I know he did very well for them in their FA cup run to the final.

But i am under the impression he is just a standard div 1 defender

Should play with charlton on wed, charlton will keep bellers quiet while mackays strength and aerial ability will counter shearer. Was v impressed with our defence on sat but our competing for balls in the air was poor.
