  1. To be replaced by who exactly?? And how have the board relegated the club?? They backed the manager in the transfer market with our biggest ever summer outlay, they have overseen a massive and positive transformation of our club. We hit the championship with some very saleable assets, totally debt free and with 3 years of very substantial parachute payments. In addition our youth setup has been vastly improved with several very talented youngsters ready in the wings.

Our club will be an attractive proposition next season. Will David McNally make the same mistake twice, you can come to your own conclusion on that one. I know what I think.

As for sack the board chants. Grow up and come and join the rest of us in the real world. The only people here to blame are the players who have consistently performed poorly, they know who they are, and if course Hughton!!! A man who''s overwhelming negativity probably cost us the 3 or 4 points that would have dramatically altered the face of our season.

  2. 8 behind the ball, counter attack. Wasn''t that just the Chelsea game where even the youth team is assembled at the cost of millions.

Neil Adams will have us playing attacking football. I predict a direct aggressive style with good wing play and the little men causing havoc where defenders don''t want them.

And wouldn''t a Wolfswinkle explosion of form be the sweetest icing on the cake ever

  3. Here is a little positive spin to maybe think about. Let''s look at the players who may have become disillusioned with things under Hughton; Pilkington, Becchio, Wolfy possibly Hoolahan, could well be like 4 new players if they get that enthusiasm back, which could well happen and does happen with the new manager effect. Could be an asset.

Secondly, after Fulham it''s 4 big games against big teams all playing with their own pressures. With the exception of maybe Liverpool all potentially winnable. We can beat Fulham and we can nick a couple of draws minimum in the last 4. Fingers crossed....

For what it''s worth, we were right to persevere with Hughton, however I believe it''s 4 games too late, we could have done with a bit of momentum going into these 5. But all in all a good call, we chuffed with Neil Adams, it''s a gamble I''d have taken too.

  4. Tim Sherwood please for me. I like his passion, hes trying to get Spurs playing nice football and he knows this club and the City. Also has a decent eye for youth development.

I think he is struggling at Spurs (or hit & miss) because he has too many egos and the wrong blend of players. But with our lot and a couple of talented young loanees I think he could do really well.

We will never compete in the prem on talent alone, for a club like us passion and spirit can be our edge. Lambert delivered it, I think Sherwood could too.

  5. I can''t understand why Becchio is constantly overlooked either. The thing that is frustrating me the most is Hughtons insistence on playing Johan ''the goal machine'' Elmander!!!!

The man has done absolutely nothing, and yet continues to do nothing week in week out. For all that is not going right for RVW the boy does put a shift in. I also believe that once he gets one he will be much more of a handful.

The problem for the strikers is the system. Negative, defensive, cautious, not one of these is conducive to goalscoring.

  6. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this because I can''t be bothered to read through. Imagine if we had binned Iwan Roberts after his first season.

The boy is getting crap service, playing up front on his own and I don''t think he has ever been given 90 minutes. He''s in one week out the next, the team is playing negative tactics. All this is hardly conducive to getting the best out of our record signing.

He''s got the pedigree, his ability was there for everyone to see before he joined. That eye for goal doesn''t disappear overnight.

Personally I think we need to change the system to suit HIS game because we really do need to start scoring more than one goal a match very soon!!!

  7. Our strikers are under performing is the simple answer. Our match performances can be likened to my golf game. I get off the tee well, my approach play is good, I''m hitting greens in regulation, then balls it up when I putt.

Some decisions baffle me, I thought pilkington was good Saturday so why was he dropped to the bench for west ham. And what has becchio done so wrong, hooper can''t score at the moment, neither can the wolf....

Hughton needs to change things a little, be braver with substitutions earlier and for gods sake bring in a coach to work with the strikers on finishing!!!

If we take the plunge and make the change then I think it''s time for Neil Lennon to get a shot at the premier league.

  8. It''s clearly the coaching. They are all good players so it can only be down to what they do on the training pitch all day.

I''m not a fan of sacking managers after a few poor results cause things can change so quickly in this league, false positions for every club right up to 10th. But I have now just about had enough of negative tactics. Time for a change, let''s go get Culverhouse from Villa.

Stick one up them, take lamberts secret weapon and give a norwich legend a chance to stand up to the plate. Time to gamble I reckon.

  9. Actually I think CH is a decent manager doing a decent job. I see no reason to sack him. He''s kept us in it last season. This year he''s doing as well as any other manager with a similar squad if players.

If we want any sort of success then continuity with the coaching staff is essential. I don''t think the foundations are too bad, we just need to make sure we build on it.

  10. If we want to be competitive then surely first and foremost we have to be financially stable. Staying in this league is our upmost priority every season. No one is safe from it below the top 8. Just ask charlton, Pompey, Bolton.

If we can add a little bit of quality then the escape game can get a little easier, but the spectre relegation is always there!! We will never compete in this league, best we can ever hope for is 10-8th and a minor cup. Pessimistic yes, realistic yes.

  11. What an absolute pile of !!!!!

Delia & MWJ are just fine where they are. One is a TV chef and the other a publisher. David McNally is the football professional and I would imagine that DS & MWJ have employed him for his professional judgement.

You don''t have Joe Lewis of Tottenham going public, or Ellis Short of Sunderland, or the Glazers at Manchester United.

McNally is doing a fine job with this football club. The current form and managers failings should in no way cloud the transformation our club has enjoyed over the last 5/6 years.

  12. I dont think any of us in all honestly could answer this.  I would have loved for Lambert to stay here, But Lambert obviously feels he can achieve more at Villa so good luck to him.

Chris Hughton is a very decent replacement.  Did really well at Newcastle, did well at Birmingham considering the problems he faced.  Has all the tools to do well at Norwich.  Although I am under no illusions that next season is going to be tough for us.

  13. I really like Chris Hughton and think he would be an excellent choice.  The one I really want is Gus Poyet.

Steve Round, no.  After the Grant debacle we cant afford to risk appoint another assistant manager.  I know the risk is there with any appointment but, manager fail whilst bad would be forgivable.  If Round failed the board would be lost to the fans forever.

McNally seems to know what he is doing.
