2. It is about time the board looked at football in a serious manner!IT WOULD COST NCFC 11mllion TO BUY RHODES

This is the same amount Middlesboro paid when thay purchased him to get them out of this league last season 9mil +2 for promotion, As a prolific scorer in this division he will guarantee us 15/20 goals a season and I an shure he would come to NCFC as I believe his wife is from this area and he also has suffolk connections. This is a Small Price to pay to get the RICHES OF PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

So come on board and put you hands in the till and do not make a ** BALLS ** UP AS YOU DID WITH THE ASHTON AFFAIR A FEW YEARS AGO!!!

3. Next season every club playing NCFC at Carrow Road [with ecpt Leeds] will believe it is their Cup Final,and we have got to be prepared.Getting ready for the onslaught means having well built strong players and who are prepared to put themselves about,take no prisoners and have a winning attitude!!At the moment we need a whole new defence with the exception of 2 players if we could keep them Shackell and Clingan.The defence should be built around Shackell with a strong box-box player signed in the Holt mould,The forwards to keep I would suggest are Hoolahan and Mcdonald for flair and Lee who does a good job at putting himself about, I would also suggest Martin and Curtain should score a few goals in this  league next season,A couple of the younger players could be introduced into the team ( TomAdeyemi/KoreySmith and another winger who could cross the ball for a change would be great,one or two older players who have been there and done it might help to gell the team together {Remember Martin Peters, Dion Dublin a wish!!}

We need a team of flair with the players mentioned, and the rest to be players who are hungry and are prepared to give their all for the club.

And IMO Mick McGuire for CEO

any thoughts ?

4.
Is inbreeding now a requirement for management employment at Norwich City Football Catering?
I am  not in favour of just employing people from within the club, but we have had one or two exceptions,ie Brownie and Dave Stringer , I suggested Mick Mcguire for CEO as he has vast experience of the running of football over the past 20 years in management positions, and I would like to know from any other posters, who they feel would fill the post of Board member and CEO better. He is not a qualified accountant but we had one of those and look what a mess he made!! We need a person who can relate from the office to the board on all matters of football,

Looking forward to other suggestions with interest.

MICK MAGUIRE NEW CEO NCFC IT''S A NO BRAINER

              IF HE WOULD COME.

If Delia and the board are in need of guidance in putting NCFC on the map

and putting some integrity back into the club only one person stands out with

flying colours as becoming the next CEO for the club.

I believe he has the love of the club as an ex captain, has the knowledge and

contacts second to none for putting the club on the road to resurrection.

      1.  He fits the bill as far as football is concerned!

      2.   He has been in the political arena of football for the past 20 years advising and

supporting CEO''s at the highest level of the game.

      3.  He has dealt with Agents and contracts at all levels.

      4.  Players and contracts at all levels.

      5.  Managers at all levels and clubs in all the leagues,

      6.  And all aspects of running football for the past 20years as Deputy Chief Ex for

           the PFA.

As the main shareholders and supporters have expressed a desire to have a person

on the board and within the club with a knowledge of football I think they should look

no further and move quickly before he is snapped up!

So Delia and Michael instead of doing things on the cheap just show the supporters and

minority shareholders that you mean to back up your words with some ACTION.

Thought you might want to read this:

On Monday I flew to Ireland(Belfast) to visit family and who should be on the same plane as me but the one and only ex manager Nigel worthy
me being me I couldn''t help myself but have a little gloat only to have nigel openly come forthwith with info on his time there in the later stages and some very interesting info on his time there.
as well as his opinion on jim and our captain mckualy .
first to come to light was how much money he had to try and get Norwich back to the prem 4.7mil was quoted then came the real shocker ish
Norwich had 30 mil gained for going up 15 mil in royalties 20 mil in property sales and then the parachute and player sale money of £20mil
giving a total of £85 mil
I couldn''t help but ask how much did you actually spend then when in the prem his words not mine around the 14mil mark and 4.7mil whist relegated so i said so where''s the rest of it
and i quote "I asked the same question to the board and chief executive"
you and the board good friends I said sarcastically in which worthy smiled.
i then mentioned about the narwich fans wanting to sack the board he said again I quote "well for one they need to get rid of the chief executive"
I said what about delia? and I quote "she needs to stop drinking first" I laughed and mentioned the rant and how soccer am had done their out take on i.
I also asked if he knew much about it of which worthy said "thank god i was in the dressing room at the time, some of the players actually hid from her if they knew she was coming down to the training ground"
again i found this highly amusing with images of players hiding in the bushes or in the loo''s

VERY INTERESTING BLUE

Re: IS GUNN A LEGEND?

Reply Quote

Personal circumstances dont come into it, plenty of people have lost children and carried on with their lives. He was in the fortunate position that he could raise money through his profile. That doesnt make him a legend.

He was a pretty ordinary Keeper and has been lucky enough to be able to stick with our club,And It''s not as if he did it for nothing, he''s been getting paid very well for being a ''legend''

Not in my eyes

Well Said MTV,

Fully agree with you you canot live on sentiment!!!!!  KEELO   !!!!

       Report

9. A lot of supporters on this site are calling Gunn a legend,I must say as a supporter of NCFC for the past 50 odd years he is way down in my estimation, for a start he could not lace Keelans boots!!

For what its worth the following are in my view the keepers who I have watched over the years and in the order of greatness.

1. K. Keelan  A True legendWink [;)]

2. K. Nethercott   Great

3. R. Green  Great

4 C. Woods   Great

5 B.Gunn     Good

6 S. Kennon   Good

7. Marshall   Average,Crying [:''(]

I think the Board and Roeder sold or (gave away) the best prospect we had in J. Lewis who would have been streets ahead of Marshall who I think is one of the worst 1st team keepers we have had.I believe that Gunn is way down the list as far as a legend is concerned, there can only be 1 legend of of a keeper for NCFC and Keelan has that mantle!!!

What are others views?

10. How has it come to pass that a pen pusher with no football experience can command a salary of £180,000 per year.  I believe that Cullum did not even get past Doncaster to discuss a takeover with Delia, perhaps he knew that the gravy train would be over for him if a deal had gone ahead.

Also I feel that we would still have been in the Championship if we  had signed Taylor from Birmingham but our CEO fell out with Karen Brady at the last moment when he tried to buy Taylor at a lower price than had been agreed - typical of most of his dealings,

I believe there are only 3/4 players from the 1st team squad worth keeping for next season Clinghan, Lee,Hoolahan,Shackell to start rebuilding a team from, and we will have to get a VERY DIFFERENT TYPE OF PLAYER TO GET US OUT OF Div 1 OH FOR ANOTHER 2/3 DUNCAN FORBES!!!

DONCASTER MUST GO AND QUICKLY ALONG WITH MUMBY AND I AM AFRAID GUNN WHOSE  TACTICS STOP AT THE PENALTY SPOT MUST BE SACKED AS MANAGER.
