Webber has failed again this season

2 out of 3 100% failed transfer windows is not acceptable

Webber just wants to get cash into the NCFC pockets

3 injury prone CB's = 100% failure AGAIN by Webber

Just 1 LB = 100% failure AGAIN by Webber

What a waste. Now the internet has served to amplify this depressing indictment of human nature.

Given that we have pretty much been told we are ‘going with what we’ve got’, how do people feel the transfer window went - particularly given the poor Windows of last season?

Although I’m asking the question, I can’t help but be a bit on the fence on it.  There’s certainly good points in that we’ve brought in a number of players, some of whom are good enough to press for a first-team start, and we got them in good and early: that was a fantastic start.  Since then we’ve done the inevitable and sold a couple of our better players - fewer than many thought we’d do, so far so very good.  Nox Vidmate VLC

The problem is that for me we have also made what seems to be some strange decisions in letting players go on loan leaving our defence undoubtedly weakened/low on numbers.  Injuries are inevitable, and we have a long slog of 18 games before the window opens again, so I can’t help but think we need to rely on dropping lucky more than we should.  Hopefully we can keep players fit and start to kick-on.   If we can, we will be well set, but there is that niggly feeling that our Achilles heel, defence/conceding too many goals, will continue to be an issue.

What sort of quality of player would you get under that criteria?  It's either a player past their best who is prepared to just be backup or an up and coming player who is prepared to bide their time.  Maybe the club feel they have the latter in the u23s already, I don't know.

It's not really for me to say, as I only joined the MB a short while ago, but...

We are all under terrible pressure at the current time for a variety of reasons, all connected to coronavirus. Even if we don't realise it it makes us all moody, a bit more tetchy, and ready to jump on people if we disagree with their views. I am as guilty as anyone else.

I see that there are battle  Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin lines drawn between various contributors - it doesn't look good and I guarantee it doesn't feel good for those involved.

The club is taking stick for making a business decision. Financially, we are currently funded more in line with a middling Championship side than a Premier League side, so surely this needs to be factored in. In any event, the club gets so many things spectacularly right that, if nothing else, they deserve respect. Please let's not be tabloid in our response.

The players are in the firing line for not relinquishing a large chunk of their salaries. They are good, dedicated professionals and many would happily donate to the NHS, but this was never going to happen overnight and from now on the whole issue will now be tinged with virtue-signalling, which is not a good motive. Let each of them handle it in their own way. Many will be low key, and I aware of players' families who are volunteering for the NHS without publicity. Much health-related charity work is already done, not all of it in the full glare of publicity.

So the message is, please let's not drive a wedge between ourselves, us and the club, and us and the players. None of us deserve that.

The other difficult thing is how we pay for this when it's all over. That decision will determine the course of politics for the next few years. If the Government gets it wrong the Labour Party now has its most electable leader since Blair.
