Better add me to that list too wiz as i thought the doc played well apart from his one mistake and totally agree with DCB, no where near the worst player on the pitch tonight which would have to be whaley closely followed by OTJ who just seemed to stroll about not doing much -
Whats with the Otsem bashing tonight? i thought he done ok and got totally shafted by Whaley in n front of him who was to blame for the 2 and 3 goal but see not much bashing of him on here -
FFS people on here need to look at the bigger picture. Doc made one mistake, yes one and he got punished as you tend to when your playing against premiership oppo, the rest of the match he looked ok. no one is mentioning the tackles he has put in tonight, one stopping reid scoring his third or the headers he has made clearing the ball. At least Saturday we will have my preferred cb''s playing in doc and askoupeople really need to start watching the game and judge players on THAT game and stop jumping on the bandwagonsorry rant over needed to get that off my chest -
Whalesy was shocking and we immediately looked more solid once he went off. Thought the doc done most things ok, yeah he made a mistake got punished but then so did our CB on sat -
Agree totally and for that reason people should lay off otsem -
Think could quite easily be 3-3 the only difference between the teams is the finishing. yes doc made a mistake, so did spillane and askou on sat but everything else he has done ok. agree with the earlier post about whaley doesnt look interested and is leaving otsem exposed. compare to sat when mcveigh and hughes helped out and we looked lot more solid -
Going to go against the grain here and defend him on both goals. otsem had no choice but to follow the forward and thats where the RM has to help defend but on the 2nd goal whaley gave the ball away leaving us open and for the 3rd otsem went with the striker but whaley was still jogging back not helping out at all -
Yes, wont be ready for a couple more weeks apprently -
thanks just seen itlooks sensible to me and just wondered if he may go three at back although looks like Daley will be up front with his pace. Makes sense to me, will revert back to Saturdays team for Hartlepool im sure -
what is the team news? -

Didnt hear anything either but i also didnt hear any booing for hools which apparently happened as well an can see no sense in these actions at all apart from damaging confidence levels -
You really think so. I thought the CB partnership was the worst part of today and both goals came from mistakes by them. If doc had made either of them mistakes he would have been crucified on here, i thought both CB''s got muscled off the ball too easily and Askou esp needs to work on his positional play. Doc will still be a very important player this season. -
Didnt once say that Gunn did a good job just think he should get some credit for managing to bring some quality players in. Yes some we may never see again and i wouldn''t miss them but some could be the making of our season like Cody, Mcveigh, Hughes and Holt who had other teams chasing and wanting him but one of the main reasons he came here was because of Gunn as he has told me himself.oh and yes i do think worthington and grant should get credit for bringing quality players in like drury and lappin of which one has given us consistent performances for a number of years and the other has demonstrated his desire to stay here and fight for his place and is now getting the credit his determination deserves, somebody Russell could model himself on -
Thought he reminded me quite a lot like O''Neil esp his goal celebrations though thought the same about Grant and we all know what happened there -
Thought you were very impressive with your left foot and if im correct only just missed with your other onewell done[:D] -
Probably going to get shot down for this but i think Gunny should get some credit for today. Mcveigh, Alnwick, Smith, Hughes, Cody, Askou, all Gunnys signings or progressed from the youth team by Gunny, Spillane and lappin brought back from the cold and of cause Holt -
He didnt pansy out of that at all, he realised that the keeper would get there first and all he would do is end up taking the keeper out and giving away a needless freekick was right in front of me and the ball picked up a lot of pace when it bounced through. Guess Lambert must have been wrong then with his jamie looked excellent a threat comment then? -
Oh and when he lost the ball absolutly no effort to try and win it back. At best perhaps he was just sulking bout being dropped but it looked like he couldnt be bothered which today esp with a new manager is a disgraceful attitude for a professional footballer to have -
What effort? wanted the ball when any player should know not to call for it because he was marked and when he did get it he just done his normal showboating and tried to beat them all 50 times!!!!!!!!!! -
If judged by everyone by goals howcome Cody is so well loved, by me as well i should add. How many has Cody scored this season? how many has Cody missed this season? if People are saying after today that Lambert knows what he is doing, great to have a manager that does etc then why did he say afterwards that he thought jamie was excellent and looked a threat? That surely goes against what most of you are saying? think people should forget the past and look to the future which after today doesnt look too bad and that includes Jamie -
Was then about to start a thread on this. Disgusted with his attitude today and hope he never gets near the first team again, would rather Daley come on in future. Could tell he didnt care and then when he just walked off at the end i thought who the f**k are does he think he is. Will personally drive him to Swansea or wherever he wants to go just make sure he has gone. The only downer on a wonderful day -
He hinted on the radio that he will make changes as an important game on saturday away so expect Maric for holt, Doc back, Martin, Whaley. Think there will be 5 or 6 changes from today -
Doc will be back have no worries on that one. Thought Spillane was the difference today at CB and think him and doc will play well today. Askou worried me at times with his positional play as he got caught under the ball on a number of times and although we did look fairly solid there think with Doc in we will look even better. Another reason we looked so solid is because we actually had a midfield that pressured the other team and stopped them playing which took a lot of pressure off the defence. Think we should judge this once doc and spillane play with that midfield dominating then we may know
Askou + ? v Hartlepool ?
