1. Miste Chops before you comment read the posts!!! As said 3 or 4 times before you piped in,this has be solved!! Im well aware of our chairman and board members!!!

Just a quick oneto other posters, there are some great posts on this wraith debate, keep up the good work!

The facts lie like this, Delia will recoup all her money when she sells! she has publicity off the back of Norwich which, if we added up probably covers half that amount!! She is our chairman, and chairman''s take on the role with a view to spending money, it is not my problem she has taken on a club to big for her!!! Out with the board!!
Get your facts straight.  She and MWJ are the majority shareholders.  Munby is the chairman.
2.
The problem is, amongst many others, is that she is not the chairman. She is the majority shareholder with MWJ and has appointed a Chairman who is very skilled in PR but has no power whatsoever. We have a Chief Executive who has no skill whatever in PR or running a football club. Both these chaps are rolled out to take the flack.

She and MWJ are the only ones who have the power to help this club forward. The best option for the club is for them to sell at a market price if they really have the club''s interest at heart. Similarly Gunny should never have sort the mangers position.
Delia is the public face, thats why her name is used .....but yes you are right.....the lot of the should sell up, and give Norwich City a chance!

Even if we stay up on Sunday i do not regard it as an acceptable season or anything for which anyone should get any plaudits.
I think Nutty, that the placid people of Norwich have reached their breaking point.
I think many did a long time ago. But they have continually looked for leadership. Not just Smudger turning up outside the ground when we lose. Proper leadership. Why do you think it hasn''t happened Wazzy? The websites, the St. Annies public meeting, the posters, banners and flyers, the organised protests and marches - why haven''t they happened?
I can''t answer that, it amazed me (and City Angel0 that so many fans went home after Mondays fiasco and didn''t protest.

Perhaps the straw has now broken the camels back, only time will tell.
The obvious answer to that is that going home is what they wanted to do. And since then the focus of those who did protest has been those other fans instead of what the protest was about.

I still believe there would have been hundreds there if the protest against Delia (and lets face it thats what it is) had any proper leadership.
I know the people who started worthy out, and believe it was the easiest starts to a campaign, they were abuse verbally and physically and spat at on several occasions..........It was clear on Monday the board sill has some really strong followers! why im clueless to that! But i for 1 will stand up and we as fans have to back our mouths or the board will take us not to division 1 but administration aswell!come on you yellows!!

  6. Right in someways, but the fact we are in this mess is lack of ambition from the board, the continued lack of money and bad management picked by them has lead to string of players simply not good enough! you can only what you got, but a managers job is to manage, and i dont think Gunn has the knowledge to take us forward!!
Watching the match on Monday, what a sad experience.   The fans commitment to this club is simply remarkable and it baffles me how they continue to accept should intolerable standards.

Observing this match, it was quite apparent that this team is not worthy of a place in the Championship and perhaps relegation would be a good opportunity to regroup.

Of the match, I made the following observations: -

Shamefully we selected a complete and utter thug in the form of Alan Lee.  Not only can''t the guy run, but his technical ability was shocking, yet he has one hell of an elbow on him - not good enough for Norwich City.

Carney - no right foot, not much of a left foot, no accuracy, no pace.

Otsemobor - if you can''t dribble - don''t!   How many times did he lose control and possession with a poor touch while dribbling.   Defensively, he was shown up so effortlessly.

Shackell and Doherty.   If in doubt kick it out!   Boy, were they in doubt.

Macdonald, put himself about... good on him given the lack of support the one ray of light in the whole evening.

Bryan Gunn - Gunny doesn''t look well to me!   The whole team doesn''t look well to me.   The selection of Lee and Carney is not good enough for NCFC but is enough to suggest that Brian doesn''t have what is required to be Norwich''s manager, especially now in the clubs desparate state.

It is time that Norwich City (the club and its supporters) rediscovered some acceptable expectation and standards (I suggest well above what it is now).   If players are not good enough, don''t buy them, don''t loan them, get a kid in from the ranks, give him some encouragement, a run, some confidence, some experience and hey presto, you have yourself a committed (better quality) player.  It used to happen, remember, Sutton, Fox, Eadie, Bellamy, etc... and its cheaper!

Take Ryan Jarvis for example, what a mess the club made of his promise.    Jamie Cureton; since he left first time round, compare his career with that of Norwich City''s second striker during that time.   He had a very good career (admittedly a league lower) and is highly regarded away from Carrow Road, perhaps we would have been better off keeping him in the first place.

We might also find young players will sign for NCFC rather than other clubs because there is ''opportunity'' - I wouldn''t let my son sign for this rabble at present.

What''s to lose?  Championship status perhaps!

  7. you cant thats the problem.............. the problem is this is our club they are f@@king up! We should stand reunited in getting this board out, but instead we are devided and Delia and co choose to listen to there supporters..

    Sad times for Norwich!

he was just giving one of  his classic "false dawn" statements .

just as previously ..prudence and ambition , and delias little speach at the royal norfolk show ,

i dont believe a word the guy says , how can you?
8. Your right, but is delia''s fault she took the job on, its her job to invest so she cant winge she has no money, she isnt exactly doing this for free, she will recoup the money when she sells!! so not exactly lost out!!

She has also lived off the back of her publicty, for example you ask people what delia is about, they will say Norwich city and cooking..... she has made millions from us and taken just as much back, we are in the worst position for 50 years, the board are to blame..

I JUST WANT THEM TO LEAVE!!
Is Delias only real fault that she has no money? Had she invested £35 million instead of the £11/12 million then surely people wouldnt blame her as much as they do?

I also think its interesting that when people blame Delia it appears that Delia and Delia alone is being blamed. They should also take into account that there are OTHER people on the board
9. half the season ticket allocation is made up of children, paying £10 to £20 a season.......... if we go down this is the price the club has to pay due to there miss management!
Maybe those worried that they might be depriving the Club of one million pounds plus for transfers by claiming the £70 should ask themselves how much the club spent on transfers out the £400 they paid the club last year or the year before?Profits on player trading for four consecutive years might look good in the books but it sure looks bad on the pitch.
10. exactly smudge............ this board have destroyed us!
Who we have as manager should not really be an issue worth discussing at the moment.

If they were still with us then you could roll the best aspects of Sir Alf Ramsey, Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Brian Clough and Bob Paisley together, put them in one human being and it would still not be good enough to get results under Delia Smith and her directors.

I think this game will probably more remembered for the game that prompted our board to make the stupid decision of giving Gunn the job.

It''s likely to be the game that got us relegated rather than the one that kept us up.
Agree 100% , if we had lost that game we would probably be safe by now .
12. I was there to, last kop game.....jerry goss stunner, shut them scouser up! i remember going mental!! good times!
This date jog any memories?  Well for those who are stumped this was the last day that the Kop at Liverpool was standing, the opponents on a gloriously sunny day were Norwich City, i remember the boiling hot sun, Liverpool legends being paraded prior to kick off and a great atmosphere.

We spoiled the party that day, Jerry Goss scored a trademark volley at the kop end and we won 1-0, we played some glorious football that day, Efan Ekoku and Chris Sutton tore Liverpools defence apart time after time, i remember bursting with pride that day, just thought id share it with you for those who were there who might have forgot, and for those who are too young to remember, we truly were a great side once.      OTBC
