“I just apologised for that performance (at Charlton). I couldn''t do anything about the performance from the side of the pitch. Eleven players went on that pitch and didn''t perform. They get paid a hell of a lot of money to go and perform on that pitch. They didn''t do it, OK.

“I''m not sure what the answer is and why they didn''t do it but I can assure you now that a lot of those players won''t be here next season if I''m the manager.

    Otsemobor
    Doherty
    Leijer, - Gunn Signed
    Shackell , - Gunn Signed
Smith , - Gunn introduced to first team football
    Russell
    Clingan
Lappin ,- Gunn re-introduced to first team football
    Lee , - Gunn Signed
    Mooney  - Gunn Signed
Cureton, - Gunn got back from Barnsley
    Carney, - Gunn Signed
    Gow, - Gunn Signed
    McDonald - Gunn Signed

10 of the 14 outfield players Gunn signed / introduced back into the 1st team.  Surely he has to take some responsibility.

Now im no fan of Gunn, but if he is given the job then we need to give him support, if the board backs him....we have to assume they will give him funds to rebuild......

I will still be concerned, and ill do my upmost to get this board removed, but i guess with the Gunn saga we have to go with the flow!
No way! If we lose a battle we will lose the war!
As you know im right for the Borad out war, but the gunn one is a battle i dont think we will win!

    Wiz......

Although i agree that appointing Gunn will not see us return to the championship i have to disagree that he is "arrogant."

I believe Gunn feels as though he owes it to himself , the club and fans that he gets us out of this mess. I admire his will to suceed, i really do. But i love the club too....does that mean that i could get the job?

My biggest disappointment is that the board papered over the "uprising" against them post Charlton in the FA Cup by appointing a legend! Its all PR spin that fits in with little family club Norwich.

Gunny...I love you. I love you determination to suceed. But please. Do not take the job.
Good reply Can U, but I still think he''s arrogant.

I know I''d be no good as manager, Gunn, likewise, should accept this too, especially after failing in the boards charge to keep us up.

I don''t buy the legend crap, he''s lived well off it for years at our expense.

Until the club adopts a more robust attitude to these hangers own, failure will always haunt us!
I agree about the aggrance, he doesnt seem to except the shyt we are in! and he certainly doesnt fill me with confidence!

He cetainly doesnt fill me with confidnce, but really what option have we got, what manager will come to a club with out funds for players!

  5.
Walker had no experience. Worthington was a failure before taking over at City after a spell as coach. Dave Stringer.  Ken Brown. Historically success comes from being inside and having knowledge of the club, giving a shit and understanding the football needed and the supporters. Outsiders always fail. Gunn is the right man. Good coaches and ''experience'' in that area is the key.
We are in this position due to us sitting back excepting it, gunn isnt the man for the job, he and his team are so tactically nieve it hurts, he has had 19 games incharge and won 5, the facts are there!

  6.
Wasnt he in a player recruitment role before all this when we signed all those loan players!???!?!?! Didnt he continue to sign loan players when manager?

Didnt he have NINETEEN games in charge??! of which he lost FIVE of the last SIX?! The most crucial run in?!

    Charlton 4 - 2 Norwich

Norwich 0 - 2 Reading --- HE HAD NO CLUE WHAT TO DO IN THIS GAME IN TERMS OF TACTICS!

Sorry but I''m adament you know him cause all of your posts since we went down is just defending him. Sorry but he is no manager... no experience... he will not get us promoted. He should step a side whilst he is still a club legend.

He had nineteen games to save us...
Exactly the facts are there................ of course he wants the job, but so do i!!!!!!! BIN THE BOARD!

  7.
if you wanted a protest your too late

1 you should of done it after the reading game

2 walked out at half time on the charlton game, weather you went to the game or at the beam back
We did say our piece at the reading game after it had finished and got lynched! Still some strong board supporters out there!

  8.
Yeah i think i saw you. I may have even spoke to you?

I was in a green and yellow hoody, brown hat, long(ish) hair...
Yeap i remember seeing you, think we spoke briefly, i was busy with the little man, only 21 months and a his first protest, he enjoyed the chanting! lol .............. stand united!

  9.
I wish i''d woken up on time to go to the fans forum today as I would have liked to get their opinion on the players conduct this weekend.  I''ve had the misfotune of witnessing the 3 below incidents this weekend.....

    1. Friday night in Pizza Express about 7 first teamers out for a meal and drinking beer.  Now i''m not saying they were drunk.  But under 48 hours from the biggest game of the season and out drinking is it really the right image to put across to pi$$ed off fans?  I bet Man Utd players don''t  go out for a few beers 48 hours before their big games.

    2. Matt Pattison and Ryan Bertrand sat behind the bench yesterday with about 10 minutes left in absolute fits of giggles.  Yeah that really improved my mood.  A fat drunk and someone who will never get near Chelsea''s first team roaring with laughter!!

    3. THIS IS THE ONE THAT WILL REALLY WIND YOU UP!! When I got back from the game i wandered in a drunken state to Mercy and in there drunk as skunks were Sammy Clingan, David Mooney, Wes Hoolahan and David Carney (possibly the most annoying cock and worst dressed person ever) and some reserve keeper too.  Trust me when I say they clearly did not give a sh1t!!!!

It just rounded off my day and sums up the current group of players we have.  When we got promoted the likes of Hucks, Greeno and Iwan wouldn''t go out if we lost a match let alone got relegated!!
These boys are getting paid 5 grand a week................ if only you know the half of what they do!!!  You dont have to scratch the surface to hard to know why pattison and bertrand where sat behind the players!!!!!! We have some proper idiots playing for us, but whilst we are winning its except, now we are down the stories will come out!

  10.
My dad''s returned from work and has been told by his colleague that Sky Sports News early this morning stated Alan Pardew was likely to be the new Norwich Boss for next season?

Anybody watching SSN this morning and see/hear anything of the sort?
Could be worse!! i think i would support anyone, if Gunn is removed!

  11.

Why is it we had loads of support for a protest and only 50ish turned out! it was nice to put faces to names, and although only a few where there, i felt it was heard and some good noise made! Better turn out for the forum, lets hope we  can make some noise over the summer! We deserve better!
As I posted in the original thread there were only 39 or so who said that they would be attending, Archant said that there were about 35 in the protest.
Yeah would be about right........ i was wearing black zip up jacket, with aviator glasses! my 2 bothers were also there! P.s i had my son with me!

  12.

Me, Smudger, 1st Wazock and some others were there. Very poor turnout, only about 30-40. Very disapointing
Dont admit to being with Smudger, He is a tw@
I spoke to him for about 10 minutes before working out it was him. He''s an alright bloke, just has very strong opinions and doesn''t know when to shut up.
Aha i was there, and then also at the fans forum. He errm..certainly let his opinions felt. One thing i will say, is he stuck with them despite fans giving him abuse.
Which one were you then? I was the one with the Gojira hoody and the mess of curly hair
Shame a few more didnt back the mouths!!!! Although small numbers i felt we were heard! Stewards werent happy!

  13.
No there was loads of support on HERE.  That amounts to about 20 different people.  Dont get me wrong, I went up there today at about 2.30, saw the awfullness of the "protest" and came home again.  Shame everybody didnt show after the Reading game really
Thats the whole problem walking away, only detracts from numbers, we stand together we get heard, around 3ish we moved into the ground, it was heard!! But these things take time! Shame others dont back there mouths!
