1.
We wouldn''t blink at spending £3m on a striker, why would that be too much for the right manager?

If thats what it costs to get the right man for the job then so be it.
Exactly. In many respect the manager is the most important player in the team (Lambert being an good example). No point in being cheap when it comes to the manager

  2. I think he probably took as far as anyone could or will. The next few seasons if we are lucky will be about consolidation, expanding the stadium and preparing us for the next big push. Once we have 35,000 attendances we can then start to look at taking on the top 10, Europe, and being one of the bigger boys in the Premier league.Lambert jumped as I suspect he had little scope for improvement but the potential for relegation in future seasons. Also, I suspect the Holt issue maybe didn''t help matters.

  3.
Lambo''s post match ramblings do seem a bit patronising and detached when I think about them now. I wouldn''t be a bit surprised if he hasn''t been planning his ascent up the career ladder from his first match in charge at Carrow Road.
Oh course he has. Until we have greater financial clout I fear Norwich (with or without Lambert) have gone as far as possible. No doubt Lambert thought he has taken Norwich as far as he could.

This is Steven Smith’s chance in life to earn a decent amount of cash to help set him up for life. I’d think there’s a good chance that he may well earn more this season than he will do in the rest of his football career. He’d be a mug to walk away from it. NCFC have signed a contract with him and he is entitled to the wages.

It is hypocritical for anyone to have a go at him for staying.

Who on this message board, if they were offered around £500,000 for doing a job for a year that where the circumstances were a little difficult or awkward, would turn down this chance?  The answer - no one.
Totally agree. I feel no anger towards Steven, as you say, he would be a mug to walk away from that much money.

  5.

I was in the home area yesterday (stupid ticket office saying I would be able to buy on the day). Anyway, all supporters were scanned with metal detectors and bags searched - seems ott compared to home games at Carrow Rd.Btw, maybe it was just were I was sitting, but I didn''t hear a think from Norwich supporters. Was it really that quite in the away end?
Blimey, I was sitting in the opposite corner to Norwich, & 90% of the time all I could hear was "Y''arrmy" or "On The Ball City" !!!
Must have been accoustics. I couldn''t hear a thing, and the fans in the palace stand were singing we forgot you were here.

Nottingham to Norwich IS a doddle, even in a car. I work with somebody who drives from Leicester to Norwich and then back again 5 times a week for work. Some people don''t even know that they are born, it is a piece of p*ss. Find your way into Lincolnshire, follow the lorries and caravans, on a straight road until you find yourself in Kings Lynn.... do the same until you are in Norwich. I have driven it hundreds of times.

Being skint, genuinely skint, is a perfectly reasonable excuse. Fair enough. Not being willing to hop on a train or drive for a few hours each fortnight..... that is not an excuse, that is lazyness.
What an idiot - another person from Nottingham here. Doing that journey is fine if you have nothing else in your life except this forum and watching Norwich. Maybe you should also bash the 20,000+ who are too lazy to attend away games as well.

  7.
I no longer use Club Cabbage (me and my girlfriend drive to games nowadays), but when I did I often had to sit on the coach for disabled supporters. No bad thing in itself but the regulars would treat you like scum. God help the poor bugger who dares to sit in a seat reserved for one of them. They shun you like a scummer. [:P]
Lol, I remember seating in one of the regulars ''seat'' and being told we couldn''t sit there because they sit there every game. Reminded me of being at school when everybody use to fight for the back seat. It shows how immature some supporters are!
