It''s going to take more than a week for Neil to sort all our issues. He''s learning a good lesson here, hopefully while we still take the points.

AN has his work cut out to improve the team if we''re struggling against poor sides like Cardiff. He needs to make the playoffs or he''ll be out.

Pleased with every aspect of that game. we won, played well at times and Alex Neil would have seen first hand what our real weakness'' are at a team. Now hopefully he can really start sorting us out!

The players switched off; they lost the initiative; they failed to read the warning signs and the momentum swung. But crucially: they still won.

I don''t know if I believe the Neil/Lambert comparison yet but....Lambert continually found different ways to win games and Neil has won two in very different ways so there you are.

3 points are 3 points. That is all that matters at the end of the day. AN will no doubt have words with the players for nearly gifting Cardiff something from the game, but as long as we are picking up the points we can''t have too many complaints.

Let''s give him a bit more than a game and a half before people start proclaiming that nothing has changed or that it''s the same old, same old etc. Some people on here really do like to find negatives at every given opportunity to beat the club with, even when things are looking up. The bottom line is that we are on a very good run, excluding the poor results vs Reading and PNE. Let''s all get on side and give AN a chance to stamp his mark on the team and instil his philosophies. OTBC

We hung on for the win but the jury is still out on AN. We really should have thumped Cardiff but almost let them back in the game by conceding poor goals. We''ll have a better idea about AN''s abilities by March after playing some of the better sides.

Some posting on here interpret negativity in all sorts of colourful ways, but they''re usually the ones who have hyped up previous poor managers like Adams and turned a blind eye to the poor football on display.

We ;ost concentration for 10 mins & they scored 2 x goals, our slow centre defense was exposed and Ruddy should rearly have come out for the 2nd goal but hesitated

That said in the last 15 mins we should have scored another 2/3 goals

Murphy had a shocker plus showed no appetite to chase back whenever he lost the ball, which was almost every time he had it

Lafferty blew up after 60 mins & stopped running

We need to send murphy on loan & get in competition for Lafferty on the left side of midfield

Also cannot have Hooly Redman & Murphy on the pitch at the same time - attacking force of dwarfs

as well as O''Neil did today ,we missed Tettey in that second half today.....theres no one better in our team who read a pass and intercepts it than him in our team, I dont know that that second half happens if he was there......his seeming inability to lay 2 games in a row is becoming a worry.

restore both him and Bassong and we''ll instantly look more solid
