Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 24

Recommended Posts

Greetings

PUPs and welcome to week twenty four of our Rays Funds season. This week we have

one of our top PUPs and previous winner of the final six with Statto28 making

the final six selections. Following Cosmic’s great win last week and GMF’s the

week before Statto is the right PUP to get us our first ever hat-trick. Statto

is consistently in amongst the very top group of PUPs and this season is no

exception with him on 18/23 78% winning selections. Statto never misses a week

and always signs off by saying “Here''s hoping for both a PUPs and City win”

which has become a catch phrase for us all on these threads. Another great

effort from this season’s great team of PUPs last week so more of the same will

give Statto a real chance of recording that hat-trick win for us. Don’t forget

your selection must be from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend and

listed on the Bill Hill or Bet365 web site.

For the match bet

this weekend we have Jas The Barclay King. One of our original PUPs Jas came to

our very first presentation but has been awol from our threads for far too long.

I’ve managed to get him back to choose the match bets for us so please make him

welcome and give him your very best suggestions for City’s match at home to

Cardiff on Saturday. Jas will be looking at all your suggestions before choosing

some of them, some of his own or a combination of both. Jas, you have £6 to

spend so you can choose up to six selections either from the PUPs suggestions or

of your own.

If you missed the

excitement last weekend Cosmic’s great win smashed the season’s CSF total

through the £600 barrier. Last season’s £617 was a record and it’s bound to be

broken this time. That’s great news for us, the CSF and the disability teams we

help. Talking of which we’ve all been invited to meet the DS group and watch

them train at Wensum Sports Centre on Saturday 24th January, 10am – 11am. I’ll

remind you all again next week with more details and it would be great to see a

good turnout.

Now

I’ll hand this week’s thread over to Statto28 and Jas the Barclay King. Remember

there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to

success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the

Community Sports Foundation.

Good

luck all you PUPs... Take it away Jamie and Jas ... the thread is

yours......[:)]...

As

always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :-

I''ll second Yankee''s selection, Anderlecht are 2nd with a good record at home, Lierse are bottom and are rubbish away, odds are 1/5.

Good luck Statto and all PUPs.

A very good evening to you Nutty, good luck to both Statto and Jas not forgetting of course all you other lovely PUPs out there.

Off to Spain again and a HOME WIN please for ATHLETICO MADRID v Granada.

For the Norwich bet first goal of the game scored by Gary Hooper at 5/1 looks good value.

Although they''ve been a little off-colour recently, I fancy PSG (6-3-0 at home) to get back to winning ways when they host Evian (2-0-8 on the road and in the bottom three). They''ve only conceded three goals at home all season, and a win to nil is highly likely – reflected in the odds of 2/11.As for the Norwich game, I think Norwich to win and 4 or more goals at 3/1 is worth a shout. Also, with Howson suspended, I really like the look of Odjidja-Ofoe to score the last goal at 20/1! You''ll get your stake back if he''s not in the squad...

Off to France this week, and as PSG have already been picked, for a little variety I''ll plump for an AWAY win for Lyon v Lens. Lyon on a good run, and currently sit top, Lens on not such a good run and sit second from bottom.

For the Norwich bet - I reckon CR will be rocking along with Alex Neil''s little jig (hopefully anyway) and I can see a solid two nil home win. That would send me home happy anyway.

Good luck to all pups, especially statto and jas.

That probably wasn''t that clear, so just in case, I meant Lens v Lyon Away win. Oh for an edit button.

Value is always my driving force and although it hurts to do this the tractor boys who have been misfiring in their last two games should be able to plough their way to an away win against a terrible Millwall side and at better than evens money this is the one for me this week.

Millwall V 1p5wich away win

as for the City bet having seen AN last week I can not see the lads slowing down this week and with the midfield losing Howson I''ll go with Tettey to score at any time.

Good luck to the pickers and all you pups.

Again looking for a bit of value, this week I''ve decided that LIVERPOOL at a hint of odds-on (5/6) seem like a reasonable bet to be slightly less crud then Aston Villa.

For the Norwich bet how about a ludicrous lump on Cameron Jerome to get a hat-trick against the club at which he made his name? 40/1 with Bet365.

SPL for me this week Statto. Aberdeen, who won for us last week, have won their last 7 PL games without conceding a goal. I think they should carry on that winning sequence at home to Dundee who only have 1 win in their last 9 : -

Aberdeen            v            Dundee            Home Win

For Jas I''m going to suggest a Norwich win with Hooper scoring the 1st goal. This combination is 7/1 with Bet365.
