FT leeds 1 - 0 Bournemouth

Good good.

Need to win against Brentford at home to capitalise and take their place in the playoffs. Big game. They don''t score that much, but they don''t let too much in either. Solid team, we need to get them to come out.

If we can beat Brentford on Saturday, we''re only 5 pts behind the leaders

We''re only a little over halfway, so there''s a heck of a long way to go: most sides still have each other to play which by definition means a lot of games involving the top sides against each other.

It is interesting that we have to play most of the top half at home (out of the current top 9 we play Derby, Boro, Binners, Brentford, Wolves and Sheff Wed at FCR) - it is fortunate that our home form seems to have got back on track.

exactly city angel. Things are looking up. We have a manager now, his back room staff will come in this/next week and we can push on as things settle down, focussing on promotion.

Looks like Leeds did to Bournemouth what Reading did to us. There will be many twists and turns to come too. Has anyone kept a record of how many teams have held top spot this season and does anyone have any idea who will be there at the end?

Still a very long way to go.[/quote]

I think Middlesbro will finish in the top 2 so only one up for grabs. Then the lottery starts

Next couple of weeks could see us right back in the mix if we can get decent results against Brentford and Brum (both tricky games mind you).

Bournemouth play Watford next week and Brentford play Boro before we play again after Saturday so a couple of draws might suit us there. Basically we need to get within striking distance of Boro, Derby and Sc*m and then beat them when they come to Carrow Road.

Unfiortunately the sc*m have wigan at home next week so we could really do with Hughton''s Brighton doing us a favour tonight. i think they might. They are not as bad as their league position suggests and they are a better footballing side than ipswich.

The sc*m have a really difficult late Feb and March but then a run in against side who all look like they may be mid table with little to play for so they could finish strongly.

These are Ipswich''s fixtures in March. Unfortuately in the next couple of weeks they have Brighton, Wigan and Rotherham so its possible they may hit the summit of the table but this is the month when we should be looking to make big gains on them:

Sun 1 Mar 2:05pm Norwich City A

Wed 4 Mar 7:45pm Leeds United A

Sat 7 Mar 3:00pm Brentford H

Sat 14 Mar 12:15pm Middlesbrough A

Tue 17 Mar 7:45pm Bolton Wanderers H

Sat 21 Mar 3:00pm Watford A

Fri 3 Apr 3:00pm AFC Bournemouth H

"Very, Very interesting"

Did you say that with a German accent?
