This is the sign of an inexperienced manager, and one who doesn''t understand the "Norwich Way".

If he had bothered to do any research by reading back through the thoughts of our wonderful fans on this message board, he would have seen quite clearly that we just don''t tolerate any praise for the opposition team.  The main reason Houghton failed was that he was far too nice and deferential in pre-match and post-match press conferences, and if we are not careful then AN is going to head the same way.  For the Norwich City players and staff, the interview below is the psychological equivalent of sending your boy to school wearing a dress and expecting him not to be bullied.

If we don''t win today then we need to look at these interviews and whether simply saying "no comment" would be a more sensible approach.   Perhaps instead of a Director of Football we could bring in a Peter Mandelson or Andy Coulson type figure to manage our media savvy?

The trouble is, he isn''t bigging up the opposition - he''s just being honest.  Recognising Brentford have a good set up, a strong work ethic and playing for each other - and then saying that is what we have to match them at.   It is plain - and always was - that this is what AN will insist on at Norwich and if we do that, our quality should come through.
