That Sinking Phelan

Recommended Posts

Firstly. Well played Brentford. We were chasing shadows and second best all over the pitch. We were lucky to avoid a sending off as our players struggled to cope.

A 21 year old loan player from Spurs ran the game for Brentford. They looked like a cohesive unit who not only wanted it more; were more up for the game but also played the game the right way. Norwich were the long ball team.

The way we were set up was ludicrous. Whittaker in midfield? Not his fault, but really? The guy can''t pass water.

Lafferty on the left again? Ridiculous! If we lack a left midfielder play Olsson ahead of Garrido.

The whole preparation of the side looked wrong. This is Neil trying to play his favourite system and experimenting against a cohesive unit.

Most worryingly of all; this is the worst we have played since Mike Phelan came to the Club.

What a clusterphuck this is beginning to look like. From the time Hughton got too long to his ridiculously timed dismissal to Adams appointment amid the mendacious claptrap of scouring Europe to bringing in Joe Royle to signing Mile Phelan under strange circumstances and then expecting a man of his experience to take direction from a rookie manager from a tin pot league.

YOU COULDN''T MAKE IT UP!

The Spurs loanee was class though, albeit we gave him more time on the ball than a manager famed for a "pressing game" should have tolerated.
I''ve lost that loving phelan.
