Sheffield Wednesday Taken Over

Recommended Posts

But I thought nobody with money was out there looking for a football club to TAKE FORWARD, rather than holding their "beloved" club back.

Time to sell up Dee-dee let''s take the concrete boots off us and let the club and fans move forwards, that''s the fans that want us to be a formidable force for the future rather than a yo-yo club receiving orders from the top based on 1, whether they shopped at morrisons, own 2+ of dee-dee''s how to cheat at cooking books, 3, have they been a dj at radio Norfolk and all the other strange criteria she uses to hold us back.

Stoke, southampton, swansea, west ham, west brom are clubs that have managed to do what dee-dee''s incapable of getting us to do!! Stay in the premier league and wtf do they have that we dont??

We need players in and we need them quick for a "board" that want to bounce straight back up to reduce the embarrassment they brought upon themselves, they don''t seed to be trying all that hard. Brace yourselves for the "we had great players identified but just couldn''t tie the deal up in time, so we''ve brought timmy tucker in from wrexham" statement. Maybe dee-dee thinks the championship is the same as the champions league?

Maccy Dee great post - but it wont happen we are stuck in a rut with big D at the helm for years to come  - the Titantic hit an iceberg & sunk quickly, Norwich City FC only have a small leak but we will sink in the end - sadly, with her in charge

But be carefull I can hear the Delia Trolls massing (one already had a snipe) you will shortly be attacked on mass & accused of having things like anti club shyte for daring to suggest the current board / owners (same thing) havent got a clue what they doing & are holding us back

Keep up the good work -

LOL How many times is that now and when was the last time these shiny new investors got them in their supposed proper place the premier league?

They''d swap with us in a heartbeat Maccie :)

No one has a divine right to be in the premiership.  NCFC is and has been a yo yo club since 1972.    Unlikely ever to do  what similar sized clubs like Derby or Notts Forest did under Clough and even they are now back down a division.   Stoke, Swansea and their like are in the prem at the moment but will be back down at some stage too.    Things go in cycles for smaller clubs - we had an upturn, then we''ve had a downturn - but the one good thing we have is the stability of an owner who sticks in there through the good times and the bad.   People that keep harping on,  moaning about DS and MJW are really not thinking straight - or maybe they are not really Norwich supporters at all.

Every owner has his faults and will have ups and downs, so be careful what you wish for.   What is it - 4 years out of 10 in the premiership?   There are plenty of clubs - potentially big clubs - like Sheff Wed - who would love to have that record and who have been nowhere near the premiership. Some like Wolves and Leeds struggled to get out of League 1 !

Nutty- Time will tell on that won''t it, they''re not far behind us at the moment, and if this gives them a boost then they might be taking 6th spot pushing us into 7th. Which in itself is quite a bizzare scenario seen as we were "aiming" for automatic promotion. See the usual dee-dee rot is setting in ready for another 4-10years of mediocrity!

TCC- That''s unfair as lap-stick only remembers the bad with everyone else and the sun shinning out of Dee-Dee''s backside. A Kind of selective thinking syndrome......bless him

the OP is so stupid I don''t even know where to begin

Is with "Norwich isn''t in Sheffield" too complex a starting point?

Has anyone got an ordnance survey map for the under 4''s handy?

" Stoke, Swansea and their like are in the prem at the moment but will be back down at some stage too.    Things go in cycles for smaller clubs "

Less likely these days with the money they keep getting year on year and the fact they are run properly. Both them will be in the prem for many a year to come. Also with the money we have coming in we DO have a right to be there, if Dee-Dee wanted to sell at a fair price we would be snapped up as we''re an UNDERPERFORMING club as were saddled with her concrete boots. I think most people can see that with someone at the helm with the slightest knowledge of football WE WOULD STILL be in the premier league or stand a far better chance of going up this year. I bet she''s already looking forward to playing millwall next season AS SHE LOVES IT IN THIS PI55POT LEAGUE and my proof of this is?? THE INACTION LAST SEASON WHEN IT WAS OBVIOUS WERE WERE IN TROUBLE and THE JANUARY SIGNINGS LAST YEAR!!!!!!

If all the teams that "have a right" to be in the Prem were in the Prem we''d have 30+ teams.

I get confused though, is he Waveney, does Newton have an alter ego, has he even heard of the FFP rules?

Do we have to go further back than that?

Have you learned your basic shapes yet?

We don''t have to wait for time do we Maccie. Just go back into the history of this board and look at the posts from last time Sheffield Wednesday were taken over. Then track what happened to them subsequently against what happened to us. Then do the same thing for when the binners got the boy mucus, read the posts like yours where our own fans were crying like babies about the wicked cook, and then follow the fortunes of both clubs since. Or perhaps that far east consortium who took over Notts County, read the jealous posts from you cry babies on here and then track the fortunes of both clubs since. We had at least one a month from you lot back then but even you lot were thankful we stuck with the cook and her cohorts...

Not sure that all Wednesday fans are as comfortable with this takeover as the OP is.  Here''s a comment copied and pasted from a Wed fan - "go to google. type in ''Thai Union Frozen Group shares'' click on 5 year chart. they have lost 80 percent of there value this year. If it is the same group that has bought SWFC, where is the money going to come from?? Is the guy personally loaded???

Hope he puts in money than the sheikh prince who has splashed the cash

at the other end of the city. We could be the best team in Sheffield

wearing red shirts if the chairman is like Cardiff".
Is that what the Newton gang want for our Club? Probably yes, but then Binners are like that, hey?
