Give the man a chance.

Recommended Posts

Alex Neil has only just arrived.  His assistant has only just arrived.  Andrue has only just arrived. Forget all that''s past and concentrate on the future - and give them all a chance to settle to the new job.   So if you are worried/concerned/frustrated or any other emotion, just remember they need time to instil their way of doing things, so put aside your own feelings about the past - for the sake of the club and its evolution.

I''m not entirely clear as to why you''ve felt the need to start a thread of this nature, Lakey?I suggest that the majority of posters will be of the same mindset as you are suggesting, and therefore do not really need to be told by you. There will be a tiny minority who, for whatever reason, will have written the Neil régime off already. And do you, in your wildest dreams, think that they are going to listen to you, still less care about what you have to say ?Total waste of time.

Most pointless tells-us-nothing-we-dont-already-know post of the month.
It''s patronising bullshit by an individual who can barely be arsed to get to a game in person anyway, and then rants about not being able to see all our games from his armchair when we''re in the Championship.
I''ve always felt Buh etc to be a bit too direct but clearly it''s the only way with some of the absolute idiots on this forum!

Are you coming to see my point now about how its about attention, and negative attention being better than none?He knew full well before he posted this exactly what reaction it would get.

Here we go again. I am able to have an opinion as well as any of you CR regulars, so whine away about "patronising" or "lecturing" or whatever it is you want to say.  The message though stands for itself.   One of the reasons I go to more away matches than home is not the distance so much as the crass and unrealistic attitude of many of our supporters.  The last game I went to at CR cost me over £200 and but for the few people round me in lower barclay, the ground was fairly silent - and we were winning the match.  Some of you need to sort yourselves out and remember how to support again.  And if you find that patronising or unpleasant I couldn''t give two figs.

Can''t argue with that

I believe by Simply questioning the support of these boo boy types they will, following a cycle of denial and soul searching, reform themselves.

These people are not beyond saving. They can be good fans of this football club again.

£200 for a game at CR? You''re having a laugh, right?

Tickets? Around £35.

Petrol? Around £90.(and that''s being generous.

How''d you get here, private jet or something?

Lets start again. "Alex Neil has only just arrived.  His assistant has only just arrived.

Andrue has only just arrived. Forget all that''s past and concentrate on

the future - and give them all a chance to settle to the new job.   So

if you are worried/concerned/frustrated or any other emotion, just

remember they need time to instil their way of doing things, so put

aside your own feelings about the past - for the sake of the club and

its evolution."

Now if the trolls would leave the thread alone we might get a few more genuine reactions about the post, not the poster.
Agree with you about the personal stuff, Lakey, though I suppose it''s only to be expected from the individuals concerned. But, doesn''t the fact that the thread''s been running for well over an hour now, and you''ve not had one single ''genuine reaction'' tell you something about its value ?

What some people never understand is that they are wasting their time trying to devalue me, my posts or indeed my support.  I may be wasting my time too, but I started the thread with a message I wanted to get across.  End of story.  If there is not any genuine reaction, that''s fine, let the thread rot with no replies.   The trolls that think I''m "fair game" to try and goad or to try and get a reaction from are just  wasting their time.

All people have to do is play the ball, not the man.  Its not hard to do.
Maybe you actually have nothing interesting to say.Don''t rule this out.
Read my last post.  I said exactly that.  Without the trolling if there was no comment it would disappear. That is fine. I put my message out that I wanted to write, end of story.
Now if the trolls would leave the thread alone we might get a few more genuine reactions...
Ok then, genuine reaction......Some might say, telling ''supporters'' to ''support'' their team, when it''s obvious it''s what they do, comes across as patronising and could be classified as trolling in it''s own right. So to open a thread with a trolling post and then accuse others who point this out of being trolls is hypocrisy in the extreme.C''mon Lakey, do you honestly believe there''s a single supporter walking into that ground tomorrow who won''t be behind their team?Do you honestly think your words will be ringing in their ears if we go a goal down or are performing badly? It''s what happens on the day that will affect the crowd reaction, not the words of a self appointed cheerleader who''s not even there.

LDC this is a fair and reasonable OP....and I have to admit that over recent weeks I have been a little snappy when it comes to all things Norwich City. I am one of those who needs to give the new management team some time I guess, but I am so frustrated by this season it has, for me albeit unusually, bought out a bit of the negative side in me .

Incredibly we still have an excellent shot at a play-off spot...so lets just hope things start to click quickly so that we can claim it!

Its not intended to be a trolling post. There are plainly people out there who are down on the club (as shown by the booing v brentford) despite getting a new manager - and would rather think badly of him than good, or at least give him some time to sort things out.  I am powerless to do anything about that, a) because I can''t get to many matches and b) even if I did it wouldn''t make that much difference - so to be able to get what I want to say to any Norwich supporters on here is my small contribution, whether it is wanted or not.
C''mon Lakey, do you honestly believe there''s a single supporter walking into that ground tomorrow who won''t be behind their team?
Yes, I do.  I''m certain of it.   I''m sure there are people who go every week - maybe not many - who go out of habit maybe because they''ve gone for years, don''t really enjoy it that much, like a good moan and complain - and actually get off on a bit of salacious club bashing.
Do you honestly think your words will be ringing in their ears if we go a goal down or are performing badly? It''s what happens on the day that will affect the crowd reaction, not the words of a self appointed cheerleader who''s not even there.
No, of course I don''t think my words have any effect at matches.  What can happen though, is that people think about it away from the match, discuss things on here or wherever, then think  maybe they have been unneccesarily down on the club - and then be a bit more positive.
