Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 27

Recommended Posts

Greetings PUPs

and welcome to week twenty seven of our Rays Funds season. This week we have another

former champion with Beauseant in charge and making the final six selections. Beaus

is having his usual successful season with 15/18 83% correct selections. As

well as being a previous champion Robin’s been one of our most consistent

pickers always around the 80% mark. A lot of you will know Robin from his

Archant columns and he is the new chairman of the Norwich City Supoporters

Trust. Beaus has been extremely unlucky in his previous attempts at the final

six and none more so than last season where Holland inexplicably managed to

mess up leaving him with yet another 5/6. So we all need to help him get his

name onto Ray’s signature and to follow up Hector’s great win from last

weekend. Don’t forget your picks must be played on Sat/Sun/Mon this weekend and

be listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web sites.

For the match bet this weekend

we have the immediate return of my old buddy and top PUP Lappinitup to make the

selections. Mick selected last week and doubled the bet but we got all the

stakes refunded so I thought it only fair to put him straight back into bat

this week. Mick will need your very best suggestions for City’s match at home

to Blackpool on Saturday to help him try and get some more funds for the CSF.

Lapp, you have £12 to spend so you can choose up to twelve selections either

from the PUPs suggestions or those of your own.

Hector’s

fantastic win last weekend took the season’s total to over £700. This is a

fantastic achievement. Raising this money helps us fund things like Saturday’s

DS team’s game against Northampton. If any of you can make it here are the

details from Emma : -

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a note to remind you

that the DS group have a fixture this weekend v Northampton at the FDC, Bowthorpe Park, Norwich,

Norfolk NR5 9ED, kick off 11am.

You are all more than welcome to come and

watch the team as they don the yellow and green and represent Norwich.

Unfortunately I will be away with the girls

programme in Gillingham but Darren who you met will be there and some of the

other coaches.

On another note Darren has asked me to

mention that he has a maximum of eight tickets remaining from his tickets

allocation for the game they are for seats in the Jarrold stand and are £10 so

if any of your group are interested just let him know.

On another note the DS tournament date will

have to change now and will take place on Saturday 21st March,

before the Forest fixture, details to follow

If any of you

PUPs are interested in the tickets let me know ASAP and I’ll try for you.

Now I’ll hand

this week’s thread over to Beauseant and Lappinitup. Remember there’s no

pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success.

We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community

Sports Foundation.

Good luck all

you PUPs... Take it away Robin and Mick ... the thread is yours.......[:)].........

A very good evening to you Nutty and very good luck to both Beauseant and Lappinitup not forgetting all you other lovely PUPs out there.

Up to Scotland and a HOME WIN please for ABERDEEN v Ross County.

If the weather gets the better of it my reserve pick is a HOME WIN for MARITIMO v Gil Vicente in Portugal.

For the Norwich bet how about Norwich to win 6-0 with Grabban scoring the first goal at an outrageous 135/1 ?

A Saturday foray to La Liga for me with

Villarreal to win at home vs Granada

Villarreal sit 6th and are 7-0-3 19-9 while Granada are 3rd bottom with 1-4-6 8-23 away.

For the match bet how about Norwich to win and a debut goal for Andreu.

Best of luck Beaus, Lapp and all you PUPs.

Chelsea are 1/3 to win at Villa. Villa can''t score to save their lives, and Chelsea should have Costa and possibly Fabregas back. If this was at Stamford Bridge it''d probably be more like 1/8, so good value IMO.As for the Norwich game, Norwich to win and both teams to score is 11/5 - considering the home win is 3/10, that''s a pretty big boost in odds for Blackpool to scrape a goal at some point.

In Bocca Al Lupo Beausant and the profit-driven Lapps...vai..fai soldi!

Lugano (Loo-Gar-noh!) vs Biel-Bienne home win per favore.

As for Norwich, if the odds are correct that''s a fabulous pick from FTW, I''ll totally back that...Sei anche motto bravo Lupo, sai?

to league 2 this week and a team in improving form and sitting just outside the play-offs so have all to play for against a team although fighting for their lives are struggling to stay in the division.

Mansfield v Stevenage Away win.

For the Norwich bet, after the win at Brighton last week Blackpool will be in better heart for their visit and I''ll take any win this week and get the 3 points in the bank. correct score 3-0

Germany for me. Wolfsburg beat Bayern Munich 4-1 in their last home game where as Hoffenheim have lost both league games since the break.

Wolfsburg          v          Hoffenheim          Home Win

Found it surprisingly hard to predict for our game against Blackpool. New manager and unsure about team selection I guess. How about Russell Martin to score anytime.

After slipping up last week I think Bayern will get back on track with a win at Stuttgart.

As for City''s game is it worth putting a small amount on the draw as the odds will be very good?

Arsenal v Villa was last week... so at least you''ve nailed that result [;)]

My pick this week is in the Conference, and Eastleigh (47 points from 29 games, 10th place) should see off rock bottom Telford (22 points from 30 games).

Good luck Robin and all PUPs.
