I wouldnt be so sure they will be taking him. It will take them smashing their transfer record to sign him. Glad he has found the net again though. Who knows he may be back here next season scoring in the PL! Xmas is a time for miracles!

Looks like Ricky is starting to score regularly - no real surprise, would have done the same for us if he''d been given the ammunition.

Shame we have so many ''experts'' amongst our fans who want to see the back of him.

We may never know CM. One thing I believe we can say we know, with a reasonably high level of confidence, is that the legacy that will remain is that Ricky was as wrong for Hughton as Hughton was for Ricky. There was never going to be a fit there but it had to be Hughton signing off on the acquisition. That , ultimately, had to be a major factor in the final decision of the Board.

He is playing in a very average French League where decent sides are extremely few and far between. Just tell me how French teams have performed in European competitions in recent years.

Quite a well taken goal this time as well. Just watched it on youtube. He timed his run perfectly, ball was chipped through from the edge of the box and he took it early as the keeper was coming out and managed to loft it over him. How many has he got now? 4?

Or .. We could just wish him luck ? Seemed to be a nice clean cut sort . Good role model material for young players , and we see far too much of the " other " sort quite honestly .

Ricky could have been a top player for us but we didn''t ever think about how we would play to his strengths. If you spend that much cash on one player you need to be certain the other players can bring the best out of him. Hughton and his staff didn''t.
