Looking through some old programmes, as you do, and found one against Reading August 1959.

Price 4d, Division 3 South. Programme notes from AEW. (we were sitting fourth behind Halifax, Brentford and Port Vale

The team was still intact from “The cup run” (Yellow shirts with green collar and cuffs with black knickers.  Kennon, Thurlow, Asman,  McCrohan,  Butler , Crowe, Crossan, Allcock, Bly, Hill, Brennan.

Note from The Football Supporters club:-

As you know, the supporters Stand was officially opened last Wednesday evening, and is hoped it will be extended during the next 2 years to cover the remainder of the South terrace.

Don’t forget the Club Hut at the river end where you can purchase cigarettes, club badges, blazer badges  etc . The annual subscription of 1/- entitles you to use our very good social club at Rosary corner..

Some of the ads will, for the older members of this forum, bring back memories.
