New Manager Top 3

Recommended Posts

A couple of non starters keep coming up. Lambert wouldn''t come back whilst McNally is our CEO. And Eddie Howe won''t leave Bournemouth. Bournemouth are owned by a billionaire and have more money than we do, they just don''t shout about it.

If it''s Phelan, which seems likely, that''s a second untried manager. High stakes for McNally, one wonders if he''d survive a second inexperienced manager proving to be, well, inexperienced.

1) Francesco Guidolin - vastly experienced, performed wonders at clubs like Parma and Udinese and previously shown an interest in managing in the UK. Should have been approached previously both times instead of Hughton or Adams2) Paulo Bento - managed to get a relatively weak Portugal side to play well above their teams ability level, did an outstanding job at Sporting and is likely to be looking for a managerial post in a better league than Portugal. Chances are that other bigger teams will be interested and that we may not be well placed enough to bring him in, but the chance to come to a club who could be back in the prem under his guidance with a supportive board and great fans could be enough.3) Frank Rijkaard - responsible for the biggest upturn in Barca''s virtual

domination in Spain, plays attacking football with a view to winning

whilst giving the fans something to enjoy watching and also vastly

experienced.

1. Lennon

2. Phelan (With Scholes as Coach)

3. Howe (As stated he likes to live around the Bournemouth area for family reasons - thus won''t happen)
