Since Phelan came in, we''ve seen more of a shift towards him over time.

We had him bought in, with a lot of fanfare that he was going to help us turn it round (after Robson apparently Undermined Adams)

during this time results with Adams as manager became very hit and miss, performances slowly started to decline as well.

Was Phelan bought in on a promise and has Adams been moved "upstairs" in the summer so that Promise can now be fulfilled.

Had Neil have taken us up would the change have happened of season anyway?

My take on it is that Adams was asked to resign with the blow softened by a role at the club in July. I personally only ever saw Phelan as bringing in some well needed experience to the managerial/coaching staff. I would prefer it if we appoint a manager with some experience rather than Phelan.......

I would suggest Adams was told resign or be sacked. The choice is yours.

but we know he was forced to resign, it said it in their statement, he didn''t go by his own accord, it wasn''t his idea.
