Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 10

Recommended Posts

Welcome PUPs to

week ten of our Rays Funds season. This is international weekend and we are

lucky enough to have top PUP Hissing Sid in charge and making the final

selections. Sid’s been with us from the very start and has always been one of

our top PUPs. Ian’s also become a friend as he’s one of the many PUPs who have

got to know each other through this message board and in particular these

threads. He’s one of our diehard supporters who goes to all the matches and I

always look out for him whenever I can get to away games or after home games.

He’s a terrific bloke and I’m proud that he’s one of our great team of PUPs.

Hissing Sid has

been the unluckiest PUP when it comes to winning the final six. Last year on

this very weekend Portugal managed to concede a last minute equaliser to Israel

which scuppered us! I asked Ian if he would prefer a regular weekend but he was

happy to take on the internationals again. So let’s all help him lay the ghosts

and get his name on Ray’s signature with our very best selection from the games

played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web

site. Of course there’s no requirement to choose internationals. There’s lower

league action in the UK and beyond.

There’s no

match bet this weekend so I’ll hand this week’s thread over to Hissing Sid.

Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to

help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money

for the Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all

you PUPs... Take it away Ian ... the thread is yours.......[:)].....

As always I

leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :-

Carve their

names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,3,

Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,2,

Gregt, GMF, Swindon Canary, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £492

for the Community Sports Foundation.

And with the

Norwich match bet. Splutcho, jb, Javier’s Deaf Translator, Hector Brockelbank,

yes PUPs £166 for the Community Sports Foundation.

And with £185

for the CSF from the Pink Un Pledges we now have a total of £2885 raised so

far.

Evening PUPs. Here we go again then.

Thanks Nutty for the very kind intro. This season though "top PUP" may be a bit generous, I''ve had a nightmare so far. So time to lay that to rest.

I have no strategy as such. Each and every pick will be considered equally and hopefully we can put 6 together to bring in the dough (avoiding last minute equalisers from the likes of Israel!!!).

So, boys and girls...hit me with your picks. Lets go...

Most of the games that i have been attracted by have such awful odds that i will go for a bit riskier choice. And all the other home nations have been chosen, so......

WALES (or Bales) to beat Cyprus on monday.

Good luck Sid and all PUPS.

I need to get back on tou our league table but much more importantly we need to get a win and Sid''s name on Ray''s signature. So, ridiculously short odds I know, but having got back to winning ways with an away win in Spain last weekend, I''m selecting Spain to win in Luxembourg on Sunday.

Really struggling this week, always seems to be the case on an international weekend. In the end I''ve gone for a home win for Linfield against Institute in the Northern Irish Premier League.

Linfield are 2nd and Institute are 9th, Linfield have won 8 of the last 10 home games against Institute. Odds are 1/3.

Good luck to all PUPs and of course extra luck to Hissing Sid.

The Westfalen section of the German Oberliga.Rot Weiss Ahlen to win at home against Gutersloh.Top versus one from bottom. Rot Weiss Ahlen, with a 4-0-0 and 13/3 home record, have won their last seven games. Gutersloh, with a 0-2-2 and 3/11 away record, have lost their last three. As a form guide, in their penultimate game they lost 6-0 away to the team in second place below Rot Weiss Ahlen. The current odds are a respectable 2/9.Good luck to all!
