A colour photo from the 70`s would perhaps have given this one away, mainly due to the lack of any green on the playing surface.
Is it Derby (Baseball Ground) as that was one old ground I never went to???

Not the greatest ground to visit but happy memories of the only time I won the Club Cabbage sweepstake on one visit and a fantastic 45 minutes winding up Peter Shilton about his nocturnal activities from a few years earlier.

I was easily pleased in those days!

The abiding memory of the Baseball Ground pitch is when the penalty spot had to be measured and painted after Derby were awarded a penalty against Man City, it took an age to sort out yet the Derby player dispatched the penalty despite the wait and the shocking state of the pitch, modern day players take note.......

No worries. Glad someone appreciated it.At Bloomfield would the away fans be situated in the big open area? I have a slight memory of someone complaining that they used to get hit with all the rubbish the Irish Sea could thrown at them.
