If its the Yorkshire one I''m thinking of we won promotion there
That is the one. We did. I think the weirdest ground I have seen us play at. And if you were a minute late in at the start of both halves you missed the only goals.

the ground is    **s**   ****i**

I was at the game the day we won promotion. I went to buy a burger from the van at the top of the terrace and gave it back to burger flipper when he told me the price!!. The next home game at this ground was against Leeds, as usual their fans kicked off and I saw the said burger van careering down the terracing on national television!!.....

Just checked my previous post and found my poor befuddled brain got it wrong, we won promotion in April 86 and the Leeds fans rioted in September (the following season), thankfully the occupants of the van jumped clear before it careered down the terracing (in flames).......

Strange that the brewery advertised on that Maine Road stand was owned by the man who saved Man Utd from bankruptcy in 1902 when they were still called Newton Heath.

I was thinking Leeds Road Huddersfield.

Didn''t we get them in the cup in the 80s?

I''m sure they hadn''t moved then.

Just waiting for the fog to clear on tthe latest pic and I''ll have a guess at that too!
