Mr Jenkins 0 Posted October 31, 2014 Delighted that we chose the right Neil to steer us to promotion this season.Lennon demonstrated poor tactical awareness in the way he approached the game tonight, whereas Adams clearly got the result he deserved.Well done Neil. The Polar Bears Made Me Do It 0 Posted October 31, 2014 Hmmmm. Cruising to an easy victory so take off the guy on a hat trick and the one bossing midfield. Result, we''re overrun, concede a needless goal and its squeaky bum time til the end. Far from football genius.

Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted October 31, 2014 A good performance but tactical naivety with the double substitution nearly robbed us. A win is a win and much deserved hopefully a run of decent performances on the way
Mr Jenkins 0 Posted October 31, 2014 Both the subs were well reasoned. This smells of any excuse to have a pop at Adams I''m afraid.
Drazen Muzinic 1,421 Posted October 31, 2014 Jerome was taken off to avoid any further damage to the gash on his knee and O''Neill was taken off to avoid a second yellow card. He''d just had a warning from the ref with Martin present too.You would expect the replacements to be able to see the game out wouldn''t you?
Herman 9,583 Posted October 31, 2014 Why are some so bitter after we''ve won. Odd.......
Grant Holts Moustache 104 Posted October 31, 2014 Jerome had been walking around for the previous 5 min as was clearly tired a day O''Neil was one challenge from being sent off. Sensible substitutions for me.

Probably the same player who came on in his place tonight. Squadwise we''re strong in central defence, somewhat weaker in central midfield.

Branston Pickle 3,598 Posted October 31, 2014 Don''t worry, Jack''s Back, guys like cheapshot canary are always there to pounce negatively on just about anything; it is rather hard to see them as real supporters. As to the subs, they made perfect sense and any fool knows it. On another night we''d have won far more comfortably, but we need to start killing games off.
Making Plans 929 Posted November 1, 2014
Interestingly some callers on Canary Call failed to see these reasons for the subs and thought they were poor decisions. It was obvious to me and everyone close by why they were the way they were as you have explained Drazen.
Just further proof, if proof is needed, that callers to Canary Call know absolutely nothing about football. They sit there drinking their coco and listening to the radio commentary dreaming up reasons to have a moan without knowing what''s actually happened in the game because they''ve been in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil, taking the dog out and going to the loo. nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 1, 2014 It was refreshing to see Bolton come and play an open game. But you have to wonder about Lennon. Having seen other clubs leave Carrow Road with points he decided the best way was to do the opposite of what they had done. So he left with no points. It struck me that only having experience of managing the best team in the league by a country mile he thinks Bolton can play the same way in the Champs. A win is a win and much deserved hopefully a run of decent performances on the way
it was not tacticaland it was a defensive slip that gave them a goal - by a player who was not a suband Grabban could well have made it three with a cracking shotin fact the reality is not so much that the opposition keepers are denying us, more that we are testing themand the more we do that the more we will score
Dubai Mark 0 Posted November 1, 2014 You can certainly take either side of this argument and give good reasons in support, either way it neither proves or otherwise Neil Adams tactical mastery. The way to do this, is to probably look at the season so far in its entirety, and if you do that, then even the biggest fan of "Neilo" would have to say that the jury is still out. Particularly, if you look at the strength of the squad we have, and how they have severely under performed against some very mediocre teams so far. But, as I say, the jury is still out, the next two games will probably be the best test tactically so far this season.......
The Bristol Nest 512 Posted November 1, 2014 As previously stated the goal did not come from the subs who are usually first choice players and needed to come on for obvious reasons. Sometimes a manager has to react to circumstance as opposed to planned tactical changes. Btw he picked exactly the team and formation that I wanted to see last night and got three points against an attacking Bolton side.still apparently we should be walking this league. How rude that the other teams try and stop us going up with ease.

At 1-0 they were still defending with 11 men . They counter attacked well at times ,,, but other than that ,, played a closing down defensive game imo
nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 1, 2014 We all see different things I guess but I thought they did making a pleasant change. Interestingly so did Cameron Jerome. http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/20141101-cameron-jerome-bolton-reaction-2054403.aspx
