Johnson to me came on the pitch trying to prove a point, as well as playing for the team. Ok, he was up for the free kick, but Lafferty has a good record and much better accuracy at free kicks. When players are left out, you want them to try extra hard to make an impression, but if they don''t make that impression, or don''t do what is needed for the team, then they are more likely to be left out again.
