Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 15

Recommended Posts

Welcome PUPs to

week fifteen of our Rays Funds season. This is one of those international

weekends where most of our usual hunting grounds are not available. So what

better week to have our most adventurous PUP Purple Canary in charge and making

the final selections. I believe Purple’s methods are perfect for the task we

face this week and with him in the hot seat we have every chance of back to

back wins following Mandie’s sterling effort last weekend. Purple’s MO is

legendary as he sends me on expeditions to the remotest leagues he can find to

hunt down his selections. And what fantastic selections they are because he’s

always riding high near the top of our PUPs league and this season could prove

to be his best yet as he remains undefeated with fourteen consecutive winning

picks.

Be careful this

week PUPs, We are NOT including the Friday international fixtures as we have

sometimes done previously. There are internationals on Saturday and Sunday But

there’s no requirement to pick from these as there’s plenty of league games

available in Britain and Europe. It’s just the major leagues who are on a

break. Obviously there’s no Norwich game this weekend so we can put all our

efforts into finding Purple our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon

of this weekend and listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web site. Let’s help

him get his name onto Ray’s signature of fame!

I can’t believe I’m sorting out the rota for December already! Time

flies when you’re having fun and we’re certainly having fun on here as this

season’s pot has now passed the £300 mark. Please let me know if these dates

are ok, if awkward I can change them around to suit : -

For the main bet : -

6th  Dec - Twidio

13th Dec - Mandie Moo’s MearKat

20th Dec - Graham Humphrey

28th Dec - Gregt

And for the Norwich match bet : -

6th  Dec - Sports Desk

Pete

13th Dec - Cityangel

20th Dec - Blahblahblah

28th Dec - Nutty Nigel

Now I’ll hand

this week’s thread over to PurpleCanary. Remember there’s no pressure because

we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand

together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports

Foundation.

Good luck all

you PUPs... Take it away Purple ... the thread is yours.......[:)]..........

As always I

leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :-

Carve their

names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch igh,3,

As before I fail to recognise myself as the paragon in nutty''s description...[;)]It is true I tend to look for exotic picks, but posters shouldn''t take that into account with their choices on my account. That said, as there is no top-flight European football this weekend, posters may be tempted into some of the more obscure leagues, where odds tend to arrive late on Friday. Accordingly I will not start looking  at a selection until at least 8pm UK time on Friday evening.By then odds should have appeared if they are ever going to. Good luck to all!

Plenty of ''bankers'' in the internationals this weekend, but the odds are correspondingly unattractive.Ukraine to win away to Luxembourg at 2/9 at least offers a little value, while one would hope the result would be a foregone conclusion. Ukraine won 2-0 in Belarus in their last away qualifier, so this one really shouldn''t pose any problems. For the Norwich bet, we''ll turn up a week early to play Brighton and sneak a 1-0, Jerome to score the winner.

Good luck Purple and thanks for your opus "Finance versus the manager" earlier in the week.

I fancy a draw this week in the Swindon vs Bristol City game, at 2/1.

African Cup of Nations for me and a top v bottom clash in Group F. Cape Verdi have won all their last 7 ACN qualifiers at home. In fact you have to go back to 2007 for their last dropped home point in these fixtures. Niger have only drawn once in their last 9 away ACN qualifiers. A home win looks nailed on to me but the price is a competitive 1/2. Looks like it should be shorter so maybe I''m missing something!

Cape Verdi          v          Niger          Home Win.

I''m steering clear of internationals. I was 100% until the last one came along. With that in mind, Belgian 2nd division, leaders Sint-Truidense to beat second bottom Verbroedering Geel.

Odds are 1/6

There''s a big game in the lower end of League one involving our very own Cody (remember him) with home advantage I will take Gillingham to win and jump ahead of their opponents in the survival game.

Gillingham V Orient Home win.

Good luck to all involved.

I''m taking a bit of a risk and heading into Purple country, the Austrian Regionalliga Centre (or Mitte if you prefer).

SK Vorwarts Steyr (2nd) play host to Union Gurten (13th of 16). Vorwarts have already won at Gurten 3-1 this season, they''ve won 5 of their last 6 at home with their only loss in that sequence being in a cup match, and Gurten struggle to score away. Odds on the Home Win are 4/9.

Good luck to all PUPs and extra luck to Purple Canary as international weeks are always tough.
