Lucky Redders

Recommended Posts

Nathan Redmond will soon be out of this Adams inspired crisis. Can''t see him wanting to hang around the lower reaches of the Championship with little chance of promotion when Liverpool and Southampton come calling.

How attractive it must be to play for a real manager like Koeman. At least with the Redmond money we can afford to get rid of this ill conceived management team and get someone like Carl Robinson.

Never understand this love for Karl Robinson

He''s consistently failing in league 1 and can''t even make the playoffs anymore.

I believe they are supposed to be one of the top teams as well

Does anyone think he has done enough this season to warrant that move? Glimpses of quality like yesterday but that Liverpool link is surprising. Good luck to him if it comes off.

Redmond will probably be a dazzling Premier League star in three or four years time. He is only 20!

When you watch him play his peers at international level he is a cut above.

It''s such a shame that we will probably only ever see him play for us under the severely limited Hughton and Adams regimes. Imagine him in a well oiled, vibrant, Lambert inspired City side ... sigh.
Hopefully he takes the likes of you with him, I hear Saints and Liverpool need some new fans.
Amen to that.It wasn''t that long ago that Redmond was getting a right old kicking on this forum. Things change quickly.......

Yes, it''s odd that Redmond is now seen as so great, he was the no1 scapegoat very recently....and as far as I can see, he still only has one goal for us and can''t really be said to be delivering consistently. Anything like £10m would be very hard to turn down.

On his overall play for us this season, 10 mill is about 9 mill overpriced so we should snap their hands off.

Not delivering consistently? He may not be scoring goals but the one thing he is doing is offering quality into the box game after game. Check chances created in the league, no one comes near Redmond. With a little more clinical finishing from our strikers and he would be running away at the top of the assists table. His performance levels this season have got better and better his decision making has also improved, less wild shots, and less taking people on for the sake of it when he can put a ball into a dangerous area.

In the current market with the potential he has £10m has to be a realistic aim. After all £15m Zaha, £10m Fer, £8m Snodgrass. Nathan has the ability to be better than any of them.

According to squaka.com he has created 53 chances so far this season and has 4 assists. This doesn''t include yesterdays game. So that gives him 5 assists for the season. They also put him as the fourth most effective player in the league.

Isn''t is funny that the people who complain that the board never learn from thier mistakes are guilty of the same.

We should not be selling save for stupid money. What good does £10m do us in the hands of this idiot manager?

10% of it will probably go to the CEO for "hitting his financial targets" by flogging off our players.

Btw could any of our accounts gurus confirm what our "highest paid director" received for last seasons shambles?

Reading Adams'' comments yesterday (last paragraph), it''s really clear that Redmond is off. I believe the board want to bag the money and sell assets such as Redmond replacing them with them with cheaper versions...McGrandles and the Smith guy from Swindon for example. Plus we have the Murphys.

We will finish the season just where we are now, occasionally threatening to get to the play offs but ending 8th to 10th. Phelan won''t make much difference I fear. Redmond and maybe one or two others will represent the collateral damage of our position and ambition.

The table rarely lies between 23rd and 30th November and Derby are showing their mettle. If we were contenders then the results would not have followed the pattern of the last 8 or so games.

The season feels half over already even though we are not there the way things are progressing. No question therefore that players will be half looking to jump ship.

Our highest paid director received £1,119,000 (£1,640,000 previous year) plus £71,000 pension contribution. Included in the first figure is £367,500 for achieving financial targets. (£867,000 previous year) Seems a strange bonus when you have overseen relegation by a manager he appointed !!! But that''s the crazy world of football these days.

It''s amazing isn''t it that everyone we watch on the pitch will be millionaires / multi millionaires and the manager and board will be also be paid a fortune. It''s the modern day equivalent of feudalism. The fans are the serfs and buy up all the sh** that the clubs and players serve us up. Incredible....the modern day football world. No wonder we all feel disconnected at times. I believe this is is what lies beneath the fan experience and disenchantment up and down the country. Apologies to all for my naive philosophising!

And all the other staff bonuses were not paid despite not all of it being tied to staying in the prem! McNally punishes the staff for his own failings whilst receiving a ridiculous amount himself!

Sickening. Is it any wonder our highest paid director has lost his edge!

Why don''t you come to the AGM and have a chat with Adams and McNally and tell them what you think of them, you''ll feel better then
