Grabban v Hooper

Not really sure why Grabban, who has looked poor for a while now, gets the nod over Hooper.So who would you prefer to start each game: Grabban or Hooper?

Hooper has already signalled he wants away in Jan, and Adams, as a result, is not playing him.

Grabban is shite, and has been in the times when he was scoring in August. Lucky goals, freak goals, etc.

He is not contributing, and nor is Jerome.

It is wrong personell for the playing style.

And, they are supported by a very non-creative midfield in Tettey and Johnson. Makes us easy to defend against

And Jerome is contributing, got into some great positions today, should''ve scored. Our problems lay in the way we play, this game was the best example of Adams'' tactical naivety (I can''t find the right word, I wouldn''t call it naivety but can''t really just say ''sh1t tactics'')

Neil Lennon would have Hooper banging them regularly by now. Unfortunately we don''t have Lennon, we have ex radio presenter Neil Adams. And consequently Lewis Grabban, who could genuinely be the worst finisher in NCFC history.

Hooper cost £5m and hasn''t scored for ages where does he think he''s going to get a move. A cut price move to Bolton is not going to happen. Might want to move but not going to get a move unless he gets games and scores goals.

Sadly Grabban looks like a duff buy, pacey, but lacking in technique and ability - one good season at the Cherries, with his goal tally inflated by a ton of penalties. 

Bournemouth appear to have replaced him with a superior player in Callum Wilson.

Still feel a bit sorry for Grabban. Quite obvious that there''s no great partnership between him and Jerome.

If Grabban wastes a chance there''s not much tolerance from the fans but Jerome takes very little stick when he misses.

Absolute no brainer for most other than Adams. you maybe could justify grabban if his work rate was good and was adding to the team in other ways than goals but it isn''t and he doesn''t.

Yep, fans largely dislike Grabban and he does get pelters where Jerome gets applauded for effort.

But he doesnt look like scoring at the moment. Jerome still does

who knows how many points Adams has cost us this past few weeks with his disgusting favouritism of Grabban over Hooper....Hooper showed in 10 mins today we he should have playing playing ahead of Grabban ,that anything Grabban''s done in the last 7 games.

Ironically Hooper''s goal may have saved Adams neck, will be disgraceful if he doesnt start from now on.

There''s absolutely no justification in Grabban starting, another example of Adams ineptitude.Why is Grabban allowed to get away with not competing for headers?  I know he''s scored a couple of headers, but they were unchallenged, he does not challenge when a defender is involved.  An utter liability when trying to create pressure.  Huckerby was the same, but they were in wide areas where it did not have a significant impact.  And he did have other skills to make up for it.  If Grabban starts the next game it will be an utter disgrace.

Jerome doesn''t really challenge for headers either.

But he might be better than Grabban at pretending he is.

It is hardly ''disgusting'' that Grabban has been picked - until yesterday Hooper had done very little to justify his own inclusion in the side ahead of a guy who, whether we like it or not, has still scored 6-7 this season. I actually thought Grabban played ok generally, but would expect Hooper to start next week...though it wouldn''t be ''disgraceful'' if he didn''t.

The grabban we saw yest is a shadow of the player seen in the opening games. His work rate has dropped and simply wasn''t involved, rarely available and touching the ball just 18 times.

Being on of a pair seems to have hit his confidence. He is not a bad player but simply low in confidence and out of form. A break and time to refocus with good coaching should see him come back stronger. But remove him from criticism for a game or so

If Grabban can play in a pair it is definitely not with Jerome. There''s never even been much of a hint that it works yet we keep trying it.

Those saying Hooper has not done anything to show he should be in the team. How could he? Adams has consistently snubbed him from the moment he came in as caretaker manager to the extent that he was prepared to play with no strikers for part of a game at Stamford Bridge we had to win rather than give Hooper a chance.

Adams attitude to Hooper has been terrible. Had we brought in a proper manager then probably Hooper and Bassong would have been regulars in the team for the last two months and we would have many more points.

How can Adams not see that the Jerome & Grabban partnership isn''t working??! I do not understand that at all. Grabban is very low on confidence and has been for 5 or 6 games, he''s missed chance after chance, surely he should have been rested months ago. It''s common sense.

We have a reasonable squad with suitable replacements that should have been given their chances by now. So why haven''t they??? Hooper should have started in place of Grabban particularly if we are playing 2 up front.

Also I would say O''Neil is a better all round footballer than Johnson and should play in his place. He will no doubt get his chance in the next game now that Johnson is suspended.
