Morale Sapping defeat

Recommended Posts

Just had a quick look at twtd. It has well and truly imploded. We have destroyed them.

The realisation that we are streets ahead of them both on and off the pitch has finally sunk in.

It''s a beautiful thing!

That said they seem to take some comfort from ancient history.

It was just a pity it wasn''t another demolition derby

In a way it was (a demolition). They have been wielding the axe for three years, putting on (and taking off) countdown clocks, and now when the big moment comes we walk trough them with remarkable ease. Bring on Fulham!

saturday was quite a brutal slap in the face for the paupers, as the result will now hang over their season until feb 2015fired up by their own stupidity they had some how convinced themselves that as we were now both in the same division then we were equal - and being equal meant they had a chance to beat ushowever the game merely re-affirmed the huge gap that there is between the two clubs... both on and off the pitchand that gap is well defined by todays admittance from mad mick that the paupers will not sign any more players (despite millions from the sale of Cresswell) but will rely upon short term loanees to patch up the squad the penny may still have not dropped for many of the rustic dimwits, but for others down the road it has - hence the 5000 empty seats at poorman road for a much awaited derbythe club is pretty much a zombie club, merely functioning on auto pilot whilst the gates and income decrease and the debts pile up ...... and how long before Evans decides that their one asset left can be flogged off to shove a few more quid into his pocket ?where now the tin plated replicas and yellowing faded press cuttings from decades past ?

RIPswich

In a way I think it''s worse for them that it didn''t turn into a rout.

They know that we only won by 1 but easily could have taken a +5 GD from them and it wouldn''t have been an unreasonable outcome.

They on the other hand can only cling to their one real chance and dream of what it would have been like to take a single point off of us.

Enjoyable gloating aside, the financial disparity in the game does need looking at. However, when Mr Money Evans arrived, it didn''t seem a problem then.

...... And back to the gloating.
