If we can get £2m for him, great. Right now he''s just costing us money with no return.

Giving him a squad number at all was always just a token gesture, particularly as he wasn''t even present for the new squad photos. Clearly no way back for him here, best to move him on and take the money.

For his contribution 2 seasons ago alone, I hope he does well. With his record of relegations, it''s just a shame he''s not joining QPR.

Let him go for nothing, money would be nice but getting rid a necessity. Well if it comes off Palace an even bigger favourite for the drop.

Got to get rid if we can.

It''s a shame it''s come to this because in his first season he was quality for us and there were still a lot of games last season when he performed well. Although he didn''t hit the same heights as his debut season he was still no worse than a few others.

what is he doing?

Allegedly said to Adams in front of the whole squad in the first team meeting with him last season "are we supposed to know who you are?"

"Allegedly said to Adams in front of the whole squad in the first team meeting with him last season "are we supposed to know who you are?""

That wasn''t very nice of him if he did say such a thing, especially coming from someone who has stated that he reads the bible every day. Maybe he hasn''t got to the part that says "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and so on.

Certainly doesn''t sound very christian-like to be belittling others in such a way. Anyway, a successful first full managerial season for NA should be more than an ample way to shove those alleged words back down his throat, if, of course, he ever did say such a thing.

People forget how good he was first season. If Palace sign him I would not surprised if for his first season with them he looks very inch a prem player, second season when everyone expects him to be the same player seems to have been his problem at least a few times.

Some of the worst people I have met in life are devoutly religious.

Bassong has a tag of first season and offload! His second season at the past few clubs have been a disaster for him and the team.......if palace or anyone wants the guy get him there ASAP.

Time to build without such poor unsettling players.

But not one of them has gone through their entire life without saying something they later regretted, and I expect the same can be said for kind people who are non-religious too. So what was your point exactly?

I guess the point is hypocrisy Iwan.

This concept of hypocrisy is interesting, we are all a bit dodgy to be fair, nobody lives a perfect life, but i guess people of faith try to do their best and have a vision of how to live life, which aint too bad. If they pursue a moral code that may be an example for us all!
I guess the point is hypocrisy Iwan.
Ahh, but we''re all hypocrites, every single one of us and it has nothing to do with what religion you follow. For example, none of us likes being lied to, yet all of us have lied.So hypocrites complaining about others being hypocritical is hypocritical.[:D]

The church IS full of hypocrites, fortunately we have room for more! Ultimately it is a hospital for sinners not a club for the pious. Hairy is clearly judging it not on reality but his own misconceptions, alas.

My point is that being religious doesnt in anyway guarantee good or kind behavior. I have seen nothing to suggest i should place any value in terms of what sort of person someone will be linked to religion.

I respect your view. But IMO and experience no better chance at all.

I accept we are all hypocrites but the issue lies in the statement Jenkins made about people of faith trying to do their best by pursuing a moral code. That to me suggests that non religious people don''t strive to do the same. As an atheist I find that rather difficult to take.

There must surely also be a point where catholic priests who abuse children and have their crimes covered up by the church becomes far more hypocritical than most of us living everyday lives can be accused of.

Hairy, there was no way I was intending to suggest that and if thats the way my comment came across then I apologise, certainly not my intention.
