Just watching Jason Shackell having a great game for Burnley marking RVP/Rooney etc out of the game. How we could do with him now. Which of our idiot managers sold him? Was it the same one who gave Chris Martin away?

Never understood why we sold him.   Was made captain and looked to have sorted out all his injury/illness problems.  Scandalous that he was moved on at that stage.

I was always under the impression that Shackell was sold to finance the Sibierski loan. That had to go down as one of the worst transfer deadline days.Great bit of business...Good luck to Shacks though, always rated him at City. His debut, away at Derby if i remember correctly, was brilliant. Shame it went a bit downhill for him when we made him captain.

Shackell had a head like a thrupenny bit, you were never sure which direction his headed "clearances" would go in. Was a good decision to sell him at the time and he wasn''t missed, so if he''s improved in the years he''s been gone then that''s great but let''s not pretend we sold Bobby f*cking Moore, eh?
