I think the current singing generation are a bit low on song ideas. Please someone out there. come up with a classic, trouble is today''s songs aren''t very ''sing along'' types.  Oh, for a classic like ''we love you Paul''

I love these types of threads. Everyone is a critic, but yet i never hear nor see anyone else standing up at the ground and actually giving a new chant a try. Here''s an idea: stand up and sing your own ideas for a new chant. If it works, great. It doesn''t catch on, you''re onto a dud.If you have no ideas for chants, then shut up. You have no right to criticise.

Lewis Grabban,

Lewis Grabban goal machine, he''s on his way to glory, score the goals like Holty did and kids will have a story.

What about adapting the Adnan Januzaj song for Lewis Grabban,

It could be;

I want to tell you, I might as well do about a guy who scores the goals for city, He came from Bournemouth, his name is Lewis, Grabban! Grabban! Grabban!

My rendition of super grant to the tune of supergran never took off

We could rework special k, by placebo for kyle lafferty,

lafferty,no escaping lafferty

lafferty,kills defenders,for city

they go down

head in hands.

I think it would be amusing to sing.

One vadis odidja ofoe,

theres only one vadis odidja ofoe

one vadis odidja ofoe

then..

lets just call him smithy

lets just call him smithy

coz we cant say his name

cant say his name

in stead of lets all laugh at ipswich

To the tune of ''freed from desire'' by Gala.

My Neil has got no Costa, he''s got a Lafferty.

My Neil has got no Joe Hart, he''s got a John Ruddy.

My Neil has got no Lionel, hes got a Wesley...

Just an idea, gunna try and get this going on an away trip.

I agree we really do need some new chants. It really does annoy me that we have to sing OTBC 20 times a game. Go back 15-20 years you would hear it at the start of each half and after a goal.

My other point would be why do we have to go so quick. We always do it and there is no need.

No ''new'' chants needed - just the old hand-clap and ''NORWICH!'' at the top of your/our vocals is all that is required - (repeatedly)

And ''OTBC'' sang less and slower and louder like it was intended.

We don''t need ''new'' chants, there''s dozens that we used to sing that we don''t any more - just resurrect some of them: "You are my Norwich", "we love you Norwich, we do", "we''re by far the greatest team", "follow follow", "eieieio up the football league we go", "if I had the wings of a sparrow" etc et. Even "give us an...." and plain old "City" seem to have gone.

Lets stick to ones repeating player names or using easy noises like "oooooooo" or calling people bankers.

Best song we have had in years is the Javi Garrido one.

To the tune of Juan Tan A Mera;

One Jacob Murphy,

There''s only one Joshua Murphy,

One Jaaaaacob Murrrrrrrphy,

There''s only one Joshua Murphy.

Repeats and fade, then look embarrassed that you''re still singing it.
