City are a big fish

Recommended Posts

In this league we are a big fish just down from the Premier League with a big squad and £20m of parachute payments. A point at City will be the aim of many a team in this league. We can expect future performances like Charlton from Championship sides.

When we are away from Carrow Rd teams will be more open as evidenced by 4 away victories already.

We need to change tactics for home games to open up defences, there seems little point in playing 2 DM''s at home. Need more creativity in midfield Howson or Vadis maybe who would create more yet still do the defensive work. Hope to see this on Saturday against Rotherham who struggle to score and will be without their top scorer i.e. Luciano who should be prevented from playing due to loan.

I don''t think we were lacking creativity last night, we just couldn''t get the ball in the back of the net.

Had that second half penalty been awarded, everybody would have probably left saying "what a performance".

If every team comes to Carrow Road with the tactics of Charlton, and we play like we did last night there won''t be many that are able to hold on for 90 minutes, Charlton were lucky.

we would certainly appear to be if the fact that Jonnie Jackson was on Talksport at lunchtime today to recount his goal as if it was the winner in an FA Cup final is anything to go by?!

this would appear to be a big event in the recent history of Charlton Athletic FC.

In fairness though he did go on to say that it was a blatant smash and grab and that we were easily the best side they''d played this season.

There is absolutely no reason not to keep playing Tetty and Johnson together, it would only be an issue if we weren''t creating chances. In fact you could say that they are the payers that are dominating the opposition. A balance needs to still be struck between defending and attacking IMO The two midfielders currently playing have really freed up our attacking players.
