Scouting Thoughts - Bad tactics, bad team selection, bad performance

Recommended Posts

Grabban and Redmond kept drifting wide so at times there was nobody up front.Surman and Johnson were terrible in central midfield but that isn''t surprising when one is very slow and light-weight and the other is poor at passing the ball.Yet again, Martin & Garrdio had serious problems with basic defending.Redmond far too often wastes the opportunity when the team is in a good position going forwards.Wes was OK in general but his passing was poor when players were breaking in good positions. Most of the problems from last season are yet to be solved. The positives were that the team looked better once Lafferty and Tettey were brought on even-through the team was down to 10 men. There are players that were once able to get away with their limited ability because they had a hunger and edge to their game to prove themselves. That edge seems to have been replaced by complacency in a comfort zone where their limited ability is exposed for all to see. They have had enough chances now.OUTMartinSurmanGarridoBassongIN2 midfielders1 new striker2 central defenders1 left back1 right back

they certainly shouldnt be in a comfort zone when we have the likes of ,

Bassong,

Fer,

Pilkington

R.Bennett

Howson

Hooper

Tettey

Lafferty

O''Neil

Becchio

all at the club & not in the starting line up today able to come in................now if we''ve chosen to alienate any of those on that list, that''s our own look out.
